Nice daytona. The story and history behind them, and all the aero cars of that time, I find fascinating. Great work with the custom touches.ππ

Fantastic work, good move letting the clear cure a good while. That looks too good to risk a blemish.ππ

Shirley's surely sure she sold seashells shucked, sorted, and shouldered by Sven on Sundays.

Valve cover hoses?
johnyrotten replied to MonsterFan88's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Here's a couple pics of top fuel engines, they use the frame rail as a catch can. Some applications actually require a vacuum pump due to the pressures created in the crankcase. The last image is the ramchargers car, so old school setup. It will vary depending on application, this is one way they do things. -

According to Google, there's an inch and a half difference. 58 vs 59.50. If it bolts in, and nothing hits, you could make up the difference with wheel offset.

I knew the charger was some inspiration, can't mistake those lines. In one of your photos the roofline to the side looks very jaguar xk. Could just be me,or the angle of the photo. Very cool concept you've built, and great work finishing and making it a reality. ππ

I've made windshields and windows from .010 clear acetate purchased from Michael's. Worked well for this 34 ford, but that is all flat "glass".

Interesting design, i see a few hints of different cars there. Can I ask what, if any, vehicles inspired you while designing this?

Looking for small air tank with connections on the ends
johnyrotten replied to LDO's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Horn Blasters sells good tanks on Amazon. They have them down to around a half gallon size. Vai-air is another option. These are actual pressure vessel tanks, so there's a safety factor and less risk of a suprise. -
That looks great Don. A couple bumps in the road but you persevered and got her finished. Each kit is practice for the next one, looking forward to your next build.

Rolls-Royce No Chemicals, No Paint, No Harmful Glues
johnyrotten replied to Anglia105E's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Yes, the environmental factor was exactly what I was getting at. I had neglected to do a thorough cleaning after storing the a.c. in my garage for winter. There are mold test kits available here in the U.S., how good they are I'm not sure, and if theyare available elsewhere. My situation was a nasty bacteria (legionnaires)found in nature, one of those kind of rare incidents. Hopefully you are able to remediate the problem. -
That's rough man. I've seen videos of professionals repairing them, as a metal worker I look at musical instruments as works of art. No doubt that's gonna be costly.

Nice work on the gauge. I've never had a sharpie do that, paint pens and molotow have done that to me. I've taken to either airbrushing it,which isn't an option for you,or a brush. Is bare metal foil available to you? Your build, and ingenuity with this project is very interesting and educational to follow. On the topic of your condition, the air purifier is a fantastic idea, when I was hospitalized they believe it was from the window air conditioner. I had just installed it the week prior and became ill the next day. Keep up with great work, sir. -

Beautiful work. If it had a 265 in it, you'd swear G.M. made them. Stunning job with this oneππ -
Same here. Not knocking any creator, but the wealth of skill and knowledge here vastly eclipses what I've seen on YouTube. I use YouTube as a "third source", if at all, for a technique or product review.
