Finally properly ducted my spray booth out the window. My home was built in 1940, where my work bench is located has the last 3 windows I've got to replace, so it took a bit of creative engineering. They aren't like a typical window, they actually drop down into the wall, no counterweight or spring assist. Most likely original to the house.

What Did You See In Your Yard Today?

14 feet is too close for me with that cat. I've seen way too many " I SURVIVED" videos. One of nature's perfect killing machines right there. I'll take my chances with the turkeys. Beautiful area you live in. -

Yeah, she needs to pay you some rent, or at least keep the bugs to a minimum. Those are interesting creatures, I ended up watching some videos after I read an article this summer about the joro(spelling) spider possibly making an appearance here in nys. -

If it's not the same deer, then it's one real coincidence. We always see that one with another doe and it's fawns. We assume it's the same one. -

The rest of the herd showed up this morning, there is six in this picture, including a doe with a broken leg, she's been around for the last 2/3 years, these guys seem to be taking care of her. My wife also informed me that the fisher is back, any suggestions how to get rid of them? It's my understanding they are a protected species here in ny. -
It did! Dad was big into prostock back in the day, and threw the book at this thing. I remember him calling it a "hand grenade". But it would sing up past 7 grand.

I definitely agree, funny how some window frames and what-not change the look. It really is the little things I suppose

I like the '74. My father had one when I was in my early teens, had a high strung 283 with a 100 shot of nitrous. Fun car while it lasted.

Nice job on the battery, looks good. I've had great success using a brush with the molotow, haven't tried foil as of yet. My current build is practice as well.

Bit more work done tonight, made the non-existent power steering bracket, touched up some paint and got the engine ready to finish up, not really thrilled with the carbs, so l left them off for now. Making that braket was a challenge, there's no real good images, and things aren't exactly in the right place/shape one this engine. I basically connected the dots, and made an approximation of what should be there. I also put up some pics of the opened door handles, that was a fun first time. Driver's sides a bit thin, It can stay that way, it's fragile.

Ingredients and manufacturers info. I was originally looking to tamiya but there are no hobby shops local to me that carry much in the way of modeling. I prefer to support small businesses when I can. -

I like the scale cinder blocks and clutter in the background. Looks like a full size "get it done with what I got" situation. Nice work -

This is what I ended up using. Thank you for the insight, the other type of this brand I have seems to be very "hot". -

Success. I managed to get it repaired, and actually cleaned up I think the repair will work. Let me know how you all think it looks, and thanks again for the advice, and the education. -

Minor inconvenience or major issue?

Most of what I do with models as far scratch building goes, is just using my knowledge as a fabricator. Steel and styrene may behave similarly in some ways, not in the case I was working with. Just part of the learning curve. I have testors liquid cement, old school testors tube glue, multiple c.a. glue's, and both of the small square bottles of solvent cement sold at hobby lobby. Mr. Hobby I believe is the brand. -

This is exactly why I asked the question, recently I was working ith some .020 styrene bent tightly around a curve, as soon as the cement touched it (mr cement s) it just split on me. Tried a few different times, same result. Did not want to have the handle do the same. Thanks for your insight ? -

For some reason, this one has a sinister "Christine" type vibe to me. And I know Christine was a mopar.
