Very cool Mustang. I've seen lots of hotrod & racing 1st-gen Stang's, but I can't remember a Tuner/Touring race style early Mustang.... and I LIKE IT. Looks great, nice job!

Very nicely done. I also really like the color choices & the way you got the satin finish on the lower body the way the real cars where in the first years of this body style. Beautiful car & beautiful build.

Saw one of these driving around the other day in primer grey, so this made me smile. Always liked these & your build with the white & maroon-red interior looks great. Great build.

Really nice, the color, the wheels & the stance with those stripes are great looking. Nicely done!

Amazing looking build on this one. The color looks spot-on for it & great detail work. Very nice build.

Nice color choice, that looks good!

More of a great collection of cars/models. They all are great & the WRX, Supra & NSX really caught my eye, but is it almost kind of sad or weird that the racing Volvo intrigued me the most of all? Very nicely done!

Show your iconic Custom Car/Hot Rod replicas
Ken Car-Fanatic replied to Koellefornia Kid's topic in Model Cars
This one isn't anything special, it's just a box-stock '37 Ford street-rod (a Monogram-Revell kit). But it is one of the street-rod/hot-rods I've been able to do so far. -

This one is an old Monogram '32 full-fender Euro-Touring car influenced hotrod I did with a custom made interior & a Ford Nascar engine. -
Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 1993 (Monogram, 1/25)
Ken Car-Fanatic replied to Tommy124's topic in Model Cars
Wow, a blast from the past. I always liked these early aero Trans Am's. The paint & detailing look awesome. I appreciate that it looks like it's box-stock, but because of the painting & detailing it looks so good. Excellent work! -
I like it! The photos make it look really nice. Sadly, I know all too well that there is no such thing a perfect build & even all the models that I've built over the decades, no matter how good I thought I had gotten, there's always things that go wrong & yes, we often are our own worst critics & always see & know where the mistakes are. But you have the correct attitude to just deal with them & learn & have just fun doing it. I don't focus on mistakes, just minimize them & focus on & appreciate the things that went right. I would have no problem displaying this on my shelf. The detailing & colors & finishes looks very nice. Great looking Benz SL !

That looks really good! Excellent job. Looks like a street rod should look, with the stance, the wheels, the chrome & the bright color. Great job!

Nice! My dad had an '87 4cyl. when I was in high school & I owned a '88 GT until 3 years ago, so I have a certain fondness for the Fiero. The red with the tan interior is a classic color choice. I also have a few of the MPC kits, so I know that fit & finish on some of the parts is sadly not real great, but this makes me want to build one. Well done!

1955 Chrysler 300 - stock build with lighting
Ken Car-Fanatic replied to Andy Oldenburg's topic in Model Cars
A wonderful & great build even if it was just box stock with the great paint work & detailing. But all the extras definitely push it to the next level, beautiful detail work. I especially like the hidden details with the magnets, battery for the lights in the fuel tank & even the switch which looks like it would be partially hidden by the exhaust & would blend-in on the underside at the back. Very nice! -
Very nice! That's looking really good, well done (or, almost done).
-
Nice job & really well done. I remember seeing these kits when I was young & always liked a lot of the Monogram kits from that era & would imagine what they could look like built, now you've shown what I could only imagine back then. Great build !
-
Wow ! That is an amazing build. I feel I can look at that model & know exactly what the real car was because it looks so accurate. Great job on paints & colors & detailing. Stunning!
-
Your right about that being a great looking car. Really nice build on what is simple/minimalist kit. Sadly it's also hard to find good reference photos of the interior & engine-underside of that car. Yours turned out beautiful & I've only seen a couple of others built, so thanks for sharing. Very nice!

Wonderfully done Lambo, that looks really good. Excellent build.

I appreciate the comments & wish I had more time to do more scratch building, but maybe in the future?
