  2. damodelguy made DaBomb! That model is sharp especially with the two-tone paint. Joe
  3. I think that sheet covered skeleton must be related to Charlie Brown 'cause it sure looks like he had some serious trouble using the scissors ✂️! Joe
  4. Have not been a fan of this particular model over the years, however,...you just might have changed my outlook. Great modeling! ? Joe
  5. Nice model! I bought a new '80 Ford Ranger (Maroon color) and it was a great pickup to drive around. Joe
  6. Great color choice for this era truck. Looks like it will be eye-candy when finished! Joe

  11. Thank you for the welcome, Gary! Have been in Interlochen for 20+ years now and it's a nice place to live. Joe
  12. The department lead and various clerks who actually do the shelving of the kits have all told me they can not order in particular kits. They get what is sent to them. We have a fairly large selection of kits at our HL store but I have been unable to get in a particular model when requested. Different aspects of model kit stocking at various HL locations perhaps. Nevertheless I have a good selection of kits from HL, purchased during the 40% off weeks and I will continue to monitor the kit shelves for new "scores". Joe
  13. My blunder was not packing my models up when I left home after graduating high school for further education. When I came home all the models were cleared out of my bedroom walk-in closet. Model cars, planes, aircraft carriers, ships and kits! I wasn't happy...but my mom was! Joe
  14. Welcome to the forum, John. Remember it's all about fun so open a kit box and go for it! Joe
  15. I would like to see the Undertaker kit on the shelves again. It was a fun build for me years ago. Joe
  16. Forgot to add that I chuckled to myself when I noticed it was a Cider truck! Too cool! Joe
  17. I really like this truck design and the colors are great! Joe
  18. When talking with the HL clerk who was stocking models last week she told me the store has zero input as to what model kits they can get in at any given time. They have to stock whatever comes in on the truck for a particular week. It will be nice to see some new kit stock to fill the new kit tagged shelf locations. Joe
  19. I like this! Nice work here. Joe
  20. That's BOO-T-FULL! Looks great with the display base. Joe
  21. Thank you for the welcome, Alan! Joe
  22. A good response here. I do find that if I spend too much time “planning” the build the task can become a job rather than a hobby for me. We won’t get into the daydreaming at the bench though even if it can be the best time while building models for me. Or going through the parts drawers yet another time looking for an item… Joe
  23. Was down in the model room for awhile and got to wondering how much time others devote to a model building session on average. I find that, for example, I sit at the bench for about an hour or two; usually over a couple of CD’s worth of music and then I need a break. If I stay too long I start to pick up that project over there, and then that new kit on the shelf and then…and then…and so it goes. How about you? Joe
  24. Wouldn’t that be fun to drive as a 1:1?! Great job. Joe
  25. Well the work you have done so far is sure looking good! The color is a winner. Joe
