  1. Very nice looking model and great color combination. Thanks for sharing the carpet material with us...looks real good in there. Well done! ? Joe
  2. Very nice! I really enjoy seeing the older truck builds and being a former tanker driver (LNG cross country) I admit to being a bit biased. Well done! ? Joe
  3. Getting the tanker body (two large parts) cleaned and aligned for gluing together. A bit of work here to get the parts to fit nicely without gaps, however, it's coming along. ? Joe
  4. Very sharp looking. It is nice to see the old ATL trailer, too. Well done! ? Joe
  5. Guess I should consider myself very lucky to be able to, at nearly 73 years of age, pick out my spray paint choice from the local HL display and hand carry the paint to the checkout so I can pay for the merchandise. If I had to have a HL employee physically handle those spray paint cans to the checkout so that I could then make the purchase, I would be asking the employee to put the potential purchase items back on the shelves...all of the items I would have bought at the time. ? 10. This turned out really nice and being displayed with the wings folded is also a great way to show the finished model. Well done! ? Joe

  14. Have been continuing the cleanup task on the model parts. Added a bushing piece to the back of the engine because the opening was too large for the driveshaft. Cut off the mismatched generator from the engine frontal piece, redefined the generator location, added a pin locator to the generator and carved the thick engine belt down to a more realistic size. Got the engine front piece to fit square to the engine block and now the generator fits in there correctly. There’s another cylindrical piece on top of the engine that is also mismatched and I will address that situation in the same way. Have been cleaning up the cab frame and axles and they’re starting to look better. Started on the tank, which is two large pieces and it has a lot of short shot/sunken areas that will require attention. The rear elliptical panel was low all the way around the perimeter and I worked on it until I sanded the rear surface to a uniform surface. Still having fun with the kit though so onward I go…? Joe
  15. Hi Brian, I have the lights exchanged now and the work bench area is certainly brighter. The one thing I am keeping an eye on is that the cord outlet end of the light fixtures, where the pull chains are, is quite warm to the touch. No odor of any kind though. Here is a photo for you. ? Joe
  16. Purchased two LED 4' shop lights to replace the two regular shop lights over my modeling workbench. ? Joe
