  10. The wheels are coming along nicely so I decided to take a break from holding onto them, for a day or so, and clean up something else. Picked up the dashboard and thought I would quickly have that part out of the way. Well, it took me a longer time to get it ready for the cab front piece than anticipated. No problem here with me as I am actually enjoying the cleanup challenge. However, I thought it would be of worth while to post a few photos of just how some of these parts look when “cleaned up” (dashboard), prior to putty/sanding and spraying primer, and how they can look coming right out of the kit box (cab front). Might also suggest why the progress can be slow with regards to the build. ? Joe
  11. Went to the monthly model club meeting this afternoon and enjoyed seeing three very nicely redone Hot Wheels cars shown to us by a nine year old model enthusiast. Very nice looking metal cars and he even chopped the top on one of those vehicles and altered the glass. We enjoyed listening to his description of the various details he included on the cars and his thoughts on future builds. Nine years old and it looks like he will be a model builder for the long run. He definitely put a smile on this old man! ? Joe
  12. When you have a scratch built metal frame that looks this good at this stage you know the rest of the build is going to be outstanding. ? Joe

  19. I have multiple kits started and each is at a different stage of completion. This is okay with me because the most important thing is to continue enjoying the hobby for myself. Ten different model builders will most likely have ten different ways by which each enjoys the build process. Build for yourself and start as many builds as appeals to you at any given time. Above all else, have a good time at the model workbench. ? Joe
