  1. Quite a bit of the mechanical bits will be hidden after the body is on, those large openings will be covered with scoops and vents! I'm at a standstill because the door mechanisms are all broken inside and I haven't figured out how to make them work again and work better so it sits as is for awhile! I will post updates when and IF they happen! Ciao.
  2. I don't even recall it having the folded uptop! It's been so long, were you hoping to get another uptop? I can search for it if that's what you meant? I see that you are painting it red too, over yellow primer as they do in the factory, cool! I didn't do that way back when I built mine. I did try to flock the dash, then spray a few coats of dullcoat over it to lessen the effect a bit as the real ones had "mouse fur" on the dash top.
  3. Nice build, awesome details, that finished interior is amazing, and your photos looks so crisp and clear, great!
  4. Cool idea and build, those pictures look quite real! Great!!
  5. Looking very good so far, keep us posted!
  6. Love the details in the trunk too, all very nicely done!
  7. Looking good! I built one many years ago, didn't do such a great job, might have to try another one. Love the yellow over tan of yours!
  8. That chop looks fantastic!
  9. I don't think the interior tub is too short, well maybe a bit, but not much, the real car doors open to reveal a bit of the rear inside trim like what you see in your picture. Google it and see, but what you've done so far looks great! Here's a resin Falcon body I'm doing, although it's not quite as noticeable on cheap early cars, you can see the outer door skin goes further back than the interior rear side panel.
  10. That's exactly what I'd like to see, kinda was hoping that re-issue would have that as new parts, oh well I think it's scratch building time again!
  11. What about a sheet of oil filter decals, battery decals, vin tags and other useful underhood details? Generator decals, that sort of stuff? One sheet could include many brands as they are all quite small?
  12. '67 have vent windows, '68 did not, why make it a '67? That's a lot more work for an open door project. I'd keep it '68 myself. You must have a reason?
  13. This is an amazing build and a great way to spend my morning coffee drinking, looking through it step by step, I'm just in awe! Thank you for sharing your beautiful work!
  14. I'm still trying to see where that red duece doesn't look real, because..............it does!
  15. This is an amazing model build! Everything looks fantastic, including the rubber around the glass. You could make your own decal for the air filter box? I did that for my 1/12th Lambo. I've never done my own decals before but when I couldn't find them anywhere so I got some clear decal paper from BMF and they turned out great. I'm happy that I've added another "thing" to my model building. I just love working in 1/12th scale after decades of 1/24th and 1/25th, which I still also love! Your Z looks awesome!
  16. Off the car it looks perfect, but because it sits down somewhat over the body, at the sides, it leaves the windshield a bit low, in my opinion. But of course in the real world there is no "right" height. I'd personally like a tiny bit higher windshield.
  17. For the seats I made some simple manual adjustment handles.
  18. Using basic scratchbuilding materials, I made the shoulder belt connectors for above the shoulder, and the receptacles for between the seats.
  19. Did some work on the interior, removed the enamel paint from the dash, drilled out the gauges, flocked the top in black, then some heavy "Dullcoat" to soften the flocking, glued paper gauges from behind and added clear glue to the front for lenses. Scratched up a radio, 8 pieces, tiny pieces at that! Made the turn signal lever from a 1/25th scale floor shifter! The all tan dash is how it looked when I started the restoration.
  20. Really cool, and you did a lot of work man, sweet! That dash and the whole interior, and you drilled all those holes in the rotors, woah. Your engine looks amazing too, rad detail, just a very nicely done model!
  21. Mike, I'm wondering if you roof is TOO chopped? It looks extremely low, which is probably what you wanted, I was hoping it'd be about a scale inch or two taller. HOWEVER, I still want one!
  22. Steve, your details look great! Love the engine.
  23. Wow, that's a lot of bodywork, sure looks cool though!
