  1. I like it already!
  2. I love the way it looks and all the extra details you added! The ONLY thing are the rims, the kit supplied wheels have too much flatness where they meet the tire. I'd substitute rims from another kit, like the '60 Starliner, or even '62 Catalina, paint them to match, (Wimbledon White?) and put the hubcaps on them, but it really does look fantastic. The rim issue is with AMT, not you.
  3. YIKES! amazing!
  4. Wow, now that's a model to be proud of! Definitely looks like it belongs in a museum, fantastic build!
  5. The "glass" in my kit is clear blue, not clear, but I think I can make replacements for most of it, the headlights though, well I found that the 1/24th rallye lens from the Subaru kit that I bought for $2 as a parts donor has come to the rescue!
  6. I think the Fujimi Enthusiast Countach is probably the most detailed 1/24th kit out there! I haven't built it, just looked at it over and over and over, but I DID build the enthusiast M6 and Daytona, they are NICE KITS!!!!
  7. I say go for building it and adding details, which should be easier in 1/8th scale. I just got the Aventador Roadster kit, Pocher, and look forward to taking my time and adding as much extra detail as I can. I still plan to build 1/25th and 1/24th most of the time, only hit the large scale once in awhile, when I'm really in the mood.
  8. Got a bit more done to the engine, having so much fun with this one! Slow going though, but that's okay.
  9. I love this project! That windshield can be fixed with very fine sandpaper and Novus polishing compound. Here is an example. I built a road going Testarossa but the kit supplied windows had a slider, which I sanded off then polished clear.
  10. I love this one, keep it going!
  11. Here's the wheels and tires, I got some 1/12th valve stems, and used 3D stickers for the wheel centers, then put chrome rings around them, also peel and stick, then I used the Molotov chrome fine tip pen for the lug nuts followed by Tamiya black panel line wash. The rims themselves are sprayed with Metalizer Aluminum plate. Tires, because they are used, were soaked in dish detergent, then scrubbed with a toothbrush. I think they came out pretty good!
  12. Okay, here's where I am so far on the engine re-build. Started to wire the alternator and starter but just started. Used a couple of 1/24th decals just for interest, they are nowhere near accurate, but they do look pretty cool. It's more work re-building a glue bomb than starting a new kit, but it sure is fun in 1/12th scale!
  13. Thanks for all the pictures, looks great! I've got mine mostly apart and staring the restoration with wheels, tires and that gorgeous V12! Progress pictures soon, cheers!
  14. I've pulled my old, kit out of storage, I built it decades ago and rather poorly at that, but it is a great kit with excellent details, that I can improve on now. So has anyone else built, or rebuilt this old kit? Any suggestions, pictures, tips???
  15. Wow, I can't wait to see more! Lovely project!
  16. Looks real! Very tastefully smoothed and finished, I love it!!!
  17. With the awesome Ford pick up kits out, I'd sure love to see '67 to 72 Chevy pick up kits done by Mobius to the level of their Ford kits, I sure would! And of course some vintage Dodge trucks after those, after the Chevy ones, please!
  18. Nice project, keep sending updates, with pictures, please!
  19. Man I'm loivn this thing! Very cool old school!
  20. Not muscle cars of course, but I'd go broke if Revell made the '32 Ford variants in 1/12th, like they do in 1/25th, they would sell sell sell! And I buy multiples, and sadly, go broke! But love it!!!
  21. Wow, I'm loving this build! Nice!!
  22. Looking real good so far, nice work on the top pieces!
  23. I really like that one!
