  1. Some very nice detailing you've done there!
  2. Great looking engine details!
  3. Me too, with some real wire wheels and an accurate body, wow what a beauty!
  4. That interior sure looks good, nice silver paint adds so much, or is that foil?
  5. Wow that old convert sure looks nice! I just scored a nice '58 Ford hdtp in fine original condition. NO contest who makes the best '58 Ford kit, heeheehee.
  6. Since I'm using a Caddy engine, I think the headers from the Phantom Vickie will work, but I'll want to hook them up to the kit pipes and mufflers, so I may either move the mufflers up forward, or make shorter mufflers. Has anyone done modifications to this muffler set up? I agree that they should not be in the way of the rear suspension.
  7. Yeah, with the red rims, why not white body, red roof and red insert on the side trim? Looks very cool already though and I'm sure it would look good with matching red body and rims as well, your car, your choice!
  8. Good Morning! Or is it afternoon already! I've just had 3 cups of coffee and spent hours just on this thread, and man am I impressed, well that's an understatement, this thing IS a work of art! I built one 30 years ago, just out of box, and without paint, so it's a bit embarrassing for me to look at now, man, but I AM inspired to dismantle and re-do mine, not anywhere near to this standard, but an average builder, like me, can get SO much help from this kind of thread, not so much to copy just to make mine a bit better than it was. I thank you for sharing this with us, and I can't wait to see how it turns out, fantastic, I'm sure, as it already IS!!!
  9. Very nicely done, and well worded play by play, thank you, I love it!
  10. That is SO cool, love it! Nice running comments on the construction, KEWL!!!
  11. I really like this project!
  12. Very cool indeed, and that seat, woah! COOL!!
  13. I really like it so far, cool!

    66 Impala

    Great color!
  15. Yeah, gauge and under hood decals would be an easy and welcome addition to re-releases.
  16. You can easily put 4 rounds on that mesh, looks great! You have to be creative finding something to use for those 4 rounds, LED style should be considered.
  17. Bernard, I agree, out of box is just to see how good the kit really is, but for me, all the parts are for kit bashing and there looks to be some great kit bashing parts in this one, as I've already ordered 2 just for that purpose! That Stacey David Rat Roaster kit was another, 2 kits just for parts, especially those wheels and tires! Too bad the guitar was stupid looking, I wanted a Gibson to go with the Fender from the Magnum kit. Kit bashing though is probably what MOST of us do, and the newest Revell kit certainly looks like a winner!
  18. Looking great so far!
  19. I like the F-40 idea, and 2 rounds on each side is sort of a Vette tradition, let's see it!!!
  20. Here's what I did with mine. A bit of kit bashing and small amount of scratch building but kept it pretty simple and the result is pretty nice!
  21. I agree, with all the re-issues they should put something new in them so those of us who already have an un-built one in stock would still buy the new reissue. New decals, wheels and tires at the very least, but a second hood or grill as an option would also help sales with minimal added expense to the manufacturer.
  22. Now that's eye catching!
  23. Very small image from many years ago, Modelhaus '49 Caddy, just looks right to me.
  24. Sure looks cool and would be an outstanding ride in 1:1, I love the color, wheels and height, you did a great job on this one, love it!
