  1. Very nice! Those tires really made it!
  2. Nice build of a great subject!
  3. Prayers and condolences to him and his family.
  4. Hey, there's a guy on another forum with that same exact handle! Hi, John, good to see ya!
  5. Looking good, interesting project. Short track cars are my favorite subject. Just curious, were the shocks on the real car that far inboard?
  6. My club had a theme a couple years ago "1965".....build anything you want, as long it was from 1965. Another theme would be movies or TV. I see you're in Tennessee? How about anything with a Tennessee connection?
  7. Looks great, wish the pictures were bigger.
  8. I think they're gone. What kind of race car hubs do you need?
  9. Yep, me too, and I've been here awhile. Well...I won't say I've been burned yet, but the lack of communication from the other party (an established member) makes me assume so. I don't really have a problem trading with newer members, everybody has to start somewhere, but I never trade more than I can afford to lose in any case.
  10. Build it as the car its supposed to be, but like it was parked behind the shop and forgotten after the fad wore off.....rusty and neglected, with the engine in a stage of disassembly.
  11. Prayers are with you for a speedy recovery.
  12. 1) 1973 Chevrolet Monte Carlo 2) Triumph TR6 3) Modern dirt track late model
  13. Thats a great looking model! I can't tell where you had any trouble at all on the decals, they look perfect to me. Sure looks better than these modern "racing machines"!
  14. Thanks again, everybody! Well, in the beginning they were Freds. I would file down the backside to make them fit better, because they were too thick. When Fred's site closed up and I couldn't buy them anymore, I ended up casting them myself so I would have some to use. The wheels are reworked from the kit wheels too.
  15. Thanks so much, guys! I'm glad you like it. I really miss racing like this. I'd love to see them do that, but I won't hold my breath. I only have a couple left. I'm currently gathering up parts to build one of these chassis into a Whelen-type modified. Well, ok, but there's really nothing to see there, all that is pretty much box-stock. I didn't even add any plug wires or anything.... Thanks again, everyone!!
  16. Just finished another one of my All Pro Racing Series cars from the mid 80's, this time it's the 1984 series champion Darrell Brown. Revell ASA kit, paint is Duplicolor white and Testors gold with Duplicolor Chevy Orange chassis/cage. Decals are my own. Thanks for looking!
  17. Looks good! I wish I could paint like that!
  18. Very nice!! To each his own, but I think this was the best looking body style ever run in Nascar.
  19. I think you did an excellent job! The engine looks especially good. And when you say a few places need touch up, if you're talking about the front end, no...leave it that way! It looks realistic, like he's made a lap or two. Great job on a great looking car!
  20. You can reach Jerry's brother Jackie at gator1@comporium.net
  21. Maybe he meant 35 gauge instead of .035?
  22. These are not restored, these are actual race pictures, and you can see lines. They sure look bolted on to me too. I'm guessing, though, that some teams may have bondo'd them in.
  23. Thanks, guys! This was a one shot deal for me....you do it on a regular basis! You should consider joining in next year.
