  1. Thanks for posting that. Great fun to watch. Looks like the Porsches were running speed limiters He knows that track well too, seeing the lines he was taking.
  2. This one. Well, not this exact one, but one just like it, brand new. I hated my decision for decades. Now that I'm a lot older, and don't really feel like a manual trans, it doesn't hurt much.
  3. Nice, I really like this, stance and wheels are just right!
  4. I hope Barbara Eden isn't next good grief, she's 85 now.
  5. Wow that's a long time, glad you found your way back!
  6. That sounds just like things I see in my town. There are 5 or 6 housing complexes going up within a mile or two near me, bringing at least several thousand new residents. No new schools are being built. 20 years ago I had to put my kids on a waiting list because the school 2 blocks from me was full. I cannot imagine what parents are doing now. All the city council, and lousy mayor care about is revenue. We elected a new mayor last year, so many of us are hoping she fulfills her campaign promise to let no new housing into the city.
  7. Excellent, I love it. Stance and "silly-wide" wheels look great!
  8. I love that idea!
  9. When I was going through my divorce, the soon to be ex wanted over half my salary for spousal support and child support. She was unemployed ( by choice ) at the time. The judge that granted it, commented that she was too busy raising my daughter to get a job, and that I needed to get a second job to make sure I can fulfill the support order. Yes, I know my attorney wasn't so good, but even so, that would never happen if it were reversed. I did get the house and 2 cars though. Just because I'm an old white guy doesn't mean I don't have the right to notice bias in my personal life.
  10. 35 finished, about 350 or so in the stash, so it looks like I'm at 10%. A lot better than I thought.
  11. It would seem that the YWCA has noticed a problem.
  12. That paint is beautiful
  13. Could be a 56 T-bird color
  14. Just start a new topic, like you did here.
  15. If the color in your pic doesn't exactly match the in-person color, I believe the wheels are from the AMT/Ertl '57 Ford. It came in a turquoise blue and has wheels with the post that look like yours. I've got the issue pictured below. I'm not sure which other issues have those wheels.
  16. Would these from B-N-L Resins work? They will ship internationally for $8.00 http://www.b-n-lresins.com/shoppingopencart/Aftermarket-resin-cast-1-24-1-25-scale-hobby-model--wheels/resin-cast-1-24-1-25-scale-model-8-Lug-4X4-Wheels
  17. Thats pretty funny It's weird looking at old calendars. I write notes on them, and its like "My girlfriend moved to my place in 2001? I thought it was last year!"
  18. I'm sorry your struggling so much right now. Unfortunately this is your reality. I'd like to give you a little encouragement though. I've been medically disabled for 19 years. It's not fun, and my activity is severely limited. I adapted, and you will too. I relate to all of your doctor appointments, sometimes we feel like lab rats. And for disability, I'm not sure how it works in Illinois, but here in California I applied for state disability and got it pretty quickly. Social Security disability came after state ran out. It was a difficult, tiring and humbling experience. The process is an exercise in perseverance. It took almost 2 years from my initial application, but I never gave up and looked at it as it was my "new job". I did it Harry, you can too. Just never give up.
  19. I like what your doing with the rear end.
  20. Wow, that's great! I love the subtle weathering you've done on it, very realistic. It's nice seeing this one done up like you have, the only other built ones I've seen are either ratty or blingy.
  21. That's awesome Clay!
  22. I've always been partial to rock, with smooth jazz or some r&b in the mix. However I ran across an interesting song by euro-house-pop artist Pandora. She's been around for decades.
  23. My son got a roll-up mat from Bitsandpieces. It works quite well, and takes up almost no space when rolled. http://www.bitsandpieces.com/product/worlds-best-puzzle-roll-up-system/portable-caddies-and-rollups?p=0959289&utm_medium=shopping_engine&utm_source=googleshopping&utm_medium=google&CAWELAID=120020260000007500&CAGPSPN=pla&CAAGID=13534101632&CATCI=pla-270055715259&gclid=Cj0KEQiAhZPDBRCz642XqYOCpb8BEiQANUcwT9604FotUVYdY2gFQoBRA2za9jSWZbpYgpp_HeCbZxIaAl238P8HAQ
  24. Good for you, thats something to be proud of. Just don't pick up again. I quit a few times, and it got more difficult each time. Its been 21 years off cigarettes now. I gained 35 pounds pretty quickly.
