Draggon replied to Jon Haigwood's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Here's a facebook group I'm in ( yea, I know, facebook ) There is an ever increasing plethora of unique information on social media. https://www.facebook.com/groups/956906891095004/ -
The rest of this is coming along so well, and you've put so much work into it, that it would be a shame to not remove that molding and do it over.

Yeah that seat is great!

Here's a pdf with their parts request policy and order form. It's supposed to be for new kits only. Maybe they will work with you on that. http://round2corp.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/Round2-Parts-Replacement-Request-Form.pdf- 2 replies

35 Yr. Old Monogram 69 Camaro SS-Now "Under Glass"-07/20
Draggon replied to mustang1989's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Great work on the formerly-ugly rear tires. I had no idea that they could be so nice with the lettering shaved off Now I need to go see where I flung all of the ones I had. -
I bet that picture is of the master.

Be sure to include masking errors on the chrome, and overspray on the tires A short story. There was a competitor of Shieb who had could actually do a good paintjob if you did all the prep. I took my car there prepped and primered but something got lost in translation. They did some very aggressive sanding, ruined my arrow-straight panels and left sanding scratches so deep that you could feel them. But the paint itself was so smooth and glossy.

CADDYSUB
Draggon replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in 1:1 Reference Photos: Auto Shows, Personal vehicles (Cars and Trucks)
A fellow in Havana created it. Depending upon where you go on the interwebs, its either a work of art or a boat to get some Cubans to the US. Rumors of it being a Narco Sub are unfounded. I think it looks a bit creepy. -
That's mighty impressive!

It looks like it might be pretty nice, but I agree with Snake and David.

I find it amusing when my package arrives at the sorting station in my city, then travels 10 or 15 miles away to get sorted again, then to somewhere in another town before it ends up in my mail lady's truck. I could drive to the sorting station in 5 minutes. Slightly off topic, I signed up for USPS Informed Delivery. Woo hoo, I get to see pictures of my mail before it arrives! My town, and the surrounding ones have huge mail theft issues. We have community mailboxes and more than a few have had the backs ripped off and the mail stolen. One a few hundred yards from my place has had this happen twice in the last 6 months.

School Me on '71 Cuda Rubber Bumpers
Draggon replied to Snake45's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
This page seems to indicate the elastomeric front bumper was available in TX9 black, but no info on the rear. http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=92224.0 -

This one looks better on the bottom than a whole lot of models look on the top. What a work of art!- 172 replies

Well now those were fun, thx for sharing them. I liked the wading one.

Very clean workmanship! Might want to consider painting the front shocks

A water pipe in my house has burst inside the concrete slab the house is built on. I have no idea how much trouble this is going to be. All I know for sure is that jackhammers will be involved.

I think it looks too good to cover up with the body. I also think the paint is gorgeous.

49 mercury tire and wheel suggestions

What would you estimate the rim size and tire width to be in 1:1 scale? One of the Japanese wheel and tire sets might be a good place to start. -

Since the words "wow", "stunning", "outstanding", and "masterpiece" have all been used, I have nothing more to add except that I love it
