  1. Is the original Revell kit all wrong, or is the top on the Foose kit too wide and too square? Both the side and top views look wonky to me.
  2. You should post more pics of the MR2, that's very nice

Nice work! So you're the one that did that "pacific princess". I've seen it online before. Great job, the gold one is outstanding.
  4. It looks like the Montana paint might lay down smoother than the nail polish.
  5. What Steve said. I've forgotten who first posted this trick, but he used it on a pretty neat 59 El Camino Custom and it looks outstanding.
  6. Your'e body mods came out great. I love that side view up on all wheels.
  7. Greg, I love these old Falcons. Yours is going to be pretty unique with those custom parts. I'm looking forward to seeing the build up on this one.
  8. Well that was unexpected! Great job, I like it!
  9. This pic might help you as to getting the proportions on the C pillar correct. I don't like the A pillars on this one. The slight angle chop to the front and the way Bill did the pillars and cowl on his Chevelle make it look much "lighter" than this one.
  10. Looking at google pics of that nail polish, it definitely has got a texture. It looks like it would be huge on a model car and would have to have a lot of clear to smooth it out. I have no idea if thinning it to spray it will change the crackle effect. But its cheap, give it a try
  11. Well isn't that something. Dumbreck did a good job too, he was so smooth the in-car looked slow. A buddy of mine got a new C-Max hybrid last week. The thing is a rocketship. Definitely faster than a 5.0 Mustang I had, at least to 70. I think someone should make a car sound app or something for these electrics, so we could hear some vroom-vroom noises from the drivers seat.
  12. So here are a few ideas. On the first one I lowered it like someone might have back in the 60's and removed the front frame horns, made a flat crossmember, and glued on the dropped axle from an AMT 40 Ford. The gray primer roadster has stock front suspension, while for the rear I used a piece of brass rod for the axle and epoxied it higher on the rear end to lower it. Small front/big rear tires helps to accentuate the higher front end. Finally, with the last one I extended the frame, fabricated a spring perch, and used the dropped axle from the Revell Goodguys '40 Ford coupe. All three of these use the basic stock 32 roadster frame.
  13. I put 7k into my 98 Durango with 60,000 miles last year. Runs absolutely great. I agree on used cars being trouble. In my part of the country I wouldn't want to own what I could buy for that much. Add almost 10% sales tax and usurious registration fees and it gets nuts fast.
  14. Boy that thing sure looks like your 1:1. I don't mind the warts, I like it, job well done!
  15. Lots of stuff to work with there. The 32 roadster looks almost as rough as the last one you did
  16. The wheels look like Volk RE30's. I found them at Hobby Search but they're sold out. Here's a link. Also try looking at Hobby Link Japan. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10460441 I just found a set on ebay, not cheap, but if they're what you want, here you go. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aoshima-1-24-19-inch-RAYS-Volk-Racing-RE30-Formula-Silver-wheel-Tire-049549-/381019863277?hash=item58b68db8ed:g:ToAAAOSwKrhVYgMz I've seen resin body kits before. Try this: http://www.eightyone81.com/
  17. Wow, and to think I was blaming my gardener Beny. I guess I owe him an apology
  18. I'll be interested in seeing feedback. I purchased Purple Power when Super Clean wasn't available to me and thought it didn't do a very good job.
  19. Wow, that's excellent. Stance, wheels and tires, color, just what a '40 should look like. The trim rings and valve stems really set it apart. I dig this!

    STACKED 66

That's not my style at all, but it brought a huge smile to my face, therefore its a winner in my book!
  21. It's coming along great. I'm enjoying watching this one!
  22. Robert, your thumb makes me feel grateful my issue this week is the California building code requiring that I upgrade all plumbing, wiring, and maybe even my furnace because I have to repair a leaking water pipe in my concrete slab. When I read "splintered" and "bone" that geeked me out
  23. Try slotblog or slotforum. The have HO sections and I'm sure some folks there will be interested. They might also give you an accurate idea as to their worth. http://slotblog.net/forum/18-ho-racing/ http://www.slotforum.com/forums/index.php?showforum=74
  24. I've seen this before, but I can't remember what it is. I gave up looking and tried reverse image search. It says its a "car".
  25. Finally a real reason to watch
