  1. That's going to be impossible without doing what you say you're no good at. You could leave the suspension as it is, and glue the wheels/tires to the inside of the body and simply not show anyone the underside. That's not really a joke, Ive seen it done many times. Other than that, I think the easiest way would be to cut off the pins that the wheels mount to, and glue them on top of the subframe. You could add plastic stock between the pins and the subframe to dial in the ride height.
  2. That's Chris Olson, he used to be a regular on TRaK. I know his work is impeccable.
  3. Muscle cars have 8 cylinders, 4 speeds, and rear wheel drive.
  4. I opened Google photos, clicked on "upload" in the upper right corner, selected a photo off my computer and uploaded it. Then I opened the photo, right clicked and selected "copy image address" and inserted it into the picture icon here. It took less time to do all of this than to upload one single picture to photobucket. The pic is pretty large, though, I had to lower the zoom to get it proportioned correctly.
  5. Nice work Curt, one of my favorite F1's because of Senna, and the unusual approach to downforce Byrne took.
  6. This fellow on ebay refers to them as "stance" tires. He has them in different sizes, but they all include wheels. Don't worry about him being from Ukraine, I have a few of his items and the quality and service was great. http://www.ebay.com/sch/m.html?_odkw=&_ssn=oleks-dmitr&hash=item3ae1e62c4d%3Ag%3A5eQAAOSww3tY4NnV&item=252898061389&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xstance.TRS0&_nkw=stance&_sacat=0
  7. Somewhere between 2% and 5% would be fair I think. It would depend upon how much effort was required on your part.
  8. Darryl just sent me directions! Soapy water on the tire to get them into position then dab the excess water then let air dry! http://vinylnationdecals.storenvy.com/contact
  9. You just need to do a little digging, There are so many different releases, but pretty much after the 80's they are all the same except for the decals. The latest versions have been released through Dirt Track Racecars. First link is reasonably priced, the second is pricey but appears to have the original decal sheet replicated. https://www.ebay.com/p/?iid=252841175920&lpid=82&&&ul_noapp=true&chn=ps http://www.ebay.ca/itm/AMT-DIRTRACK-RACING-1932-32-FORD-V-8-COUPE-3-IN-1-MODEL-KIT-OPENED-/311835072509?hash=item489ad197fd:g:xAsAAOSwuxFY2ub9 And Dirt Track Racecars has the same kit a little cheaper, 3rd item down the page. http://www.dirttrackracecars.com/OrderModels.htm
  10. Very cool, I dig these old Revell parts pack frames. You've done it up well.
  11. That's nice, I like the black. You could also call it an XJR-8 stealth version, to go along with Gran Turismo's line of special cars.
  12. You can also consider backing the break with a very thin sheet of brass. You can get it as thin as a sheet of paper and it will hold the joint. If you make it as long as the windshield support, the kit's windshield post wont need to have any strength itself.
  13. I think the body is great, I'd like to have one myself even if it isn't perfect
  14. I like what your'e doing with the interior!
  15. This is from Star Models. I think I read that they closed, or are going to close.
  16. After looking at the AMT 32's for decades, I still think that correct bodies look wrong. I like your work on the chassis David!
  17. I've been using Aleen's Tacky Glue for a long time. I've found it useful for a gluing whole bunch of little fiddly things as well as glass.
  18. Really nice, looks so good lowered like that. Those wheels area great touch
  19. The 1969 Ford Galaxie has it, and shouldn't be all that hard to find. I'm sure there are others.
  20. Your photos bleed over into the banner ads and the reply box like there's a virus or something. The link is fine, you've got some great pictures in there. Edit: fantastic pics. I haven't seen the Tamale Wagon in ages.
  21. Low air pressure in one of the front tires is a nice touch.
  22. Happy easter everyone. Overcast and drizzling in California today. Quiet, cozy, and very serene. Lovely day
  23. There's a firewall piece in the Allison Thunderland kit that looks almost exactly like that. Not that you want to buy a whole kit, but maybe someone has it lying around for trade.
  24. I agree with Bill, no issue with your zee. I prefer how you did it, in front of the engine. Most zee's I see are right at the firewall, so the framerails leave a large empty space at the bottom of the cowl that requires either huge hairpins, or large headers to fill it up.
  25. I've never seen that one before. $18 is way too cheap. I found one on ebay.ie for $150 US, and one sold on Buyee ( yahoo japan auction ) for $95 in February. But if you really really need $18, I'll give you $25 for it
