  1. Great job fitting the windshield frame. I've got a set of those wheels saved for a similar project. Guess I should mosey on over to TRaK.
  2. Love it, David. One of my favorite Ford body styles, you've done it justice
  3. That's one clean build. You sure are good at black paint jobs!
  4. I looked at that Instagram link. They've got the Willys Coupe/32 Ford Sedan kit there. Hmm.
  5. I just ran across something on the web. A fellow was customizing an old promo, and tried removing some paint with 91% Rubbing Alcohol. It softened up the plastic, and then it hardened up again after being removed from the alcohol. This could be a possible solution to promos that aren't a complete mess.
  6. I'd love to see any of them reissued. I had the convertible and hardtop when they were new. All I have left is one of those long scoops and a set of headers.
  7. Love your lettering!
  8. Nice! I'm glad you lowered it, that makes it look so much better. Usually everyone builds this with the stance as supplied by AMT which is ridiculous.
  9. Here's a pic of the exhibition car. Smaller front wheels, roll bar, wheelie bars and a chute. Also, here's a link to the car on H.A.M.B. perhaps that might help you. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/boothill-express-where-is-it-now.765383/
  10. I think I've seen the box for it, but it could be the 59 Buick. It's been a very long time, but as I remember it looks like the 3 in 1 box we got but the dimensions are different, it's more like a flat box.
  11. Boy, isn't that the truth. When I was young I cruised the strip and hung out with my buddies. My millenial son plays RPG video games and face-somethings his social network followers. There is close to zero interest in driving, and he's 26 already.
  12. Oh yea, the tar pits! They were a fascinating place to visit when I was a kid. I wonder if the museum has dire warnings as to the dangers of fossil fuels now. Now THAT is a very valid comment. One can only wonder how much more devastating that would be to the rebuilding. I guess the military would always have gasoline or diesel powered vehicles. And comments as to the impact on the electrical power grid......I think many times the folks that push for these kinds of things are being selfish, wanting to make themselves feel like good conservators of the planet without looking at long-term consequences.
  13. This would be a great contender for the old "real or model" thread!
  14. I think its the MPC "Street Funny Car" kits. I had the GTO and there was also a Vega. I've seen both on ebay. But I've never seen the Chevelle, in person or online, ever.
  15. I always wonder if 100 years from now they will discover that batteries are as bad for the planet as petroleum. 100 years ago, no one thought oil wells to be a problem. Summerland, Ca around 1906:
  16. The guy's brother looked stupefied on the news today. His whole family are victims too. I wonder who the pundits are going to blame for this.
  17. Last I read several years back, on the other site, he still had it.
  18. Wow, that's turning out might nice!
  19. If you follow Ricky's link, Hobby Search has got pictures of completed models on each kits listing. I want one of these:
  20. No kidding! This is really nice, great job Wesley!
  21. I was on vacation in Maui in 1982. If I'd not had a good job in Cali, I would have stayed. I hope its still as nice
  22. Very nice, that interior pic is amazing. Great work on the wires and carving the tread. That must have taken quite a lot of patience. Excellent job!
