  1. Great idea
  2. Congrats!
  3. That is absolutely gorgeous, I think you got it just right. The tailights are a work of art, as is the paint. Great job!
  4. That's pretty cool Greg. Nice to see you've found some time off from posting here to build something. Just kidding!
  5. The first one I thought of was Dennis Lacy's too, Bill. Another favorite for many years is the one in this picture in the far lane. Ivo's T-bucket.
  6. Those wheels look like SSR's. Wheels like that always look good in bronze, but I'd like to suggest making them a real dark bronze. Is that what you mean by smoked? Many times the average bronze ends up looking like gold on a dark colored car. Here's a TE37 pic, maybe darker than this?
  7. Despite all the criticism of this kit, I have always liked it. Do you want to get rid of those fenders?
  8. I always enjoy watching you build RRR. Oh, and KK too!
  9. This is the singular exception to my #1 rule that big-wheel 32's do not look right. I really dig this. The 3/4 rear shot is outstanding!
  10. Man this is just so lovely. I've got enough spare parts and Gooche decals to do this, but your meticulous work and modifications makes me re-think my plan. The wheels and other mods are such a huge improvement! What color yellow are you using? Perfect match
  11. Excellent work so far Dennis. Until you posted this, I had forgotten that many early channeled cars left just a smidge of frame rail showing. That's been a long-standing gripe of mine, sometimes deeper channels just don't look right when viewed directly from the side. Carry on!
  12. Excellent job, especially considering the diminutive size!
  13. I couldn't have been more pleased with this. Great to see someone other than Jimmie Kyle Brad or Kevin get it.
  14. This vid shows it better. Daniel Juncadella hits the wall and causes the mess.
  15. It keeps getting better, I love this Greg!
  16. That Falcon has been known by a few names. Here's another pic referenced as the 'Thunderbowl Comet'. Check out how large it is compared to the folks standing behind it.
  17. Yea coming along nicely.
  18. Looking very nice so far
  19. Yes, that IS nice!
  20. Kind of a shame to cover up all that great work with a body
  21. I believe it was a solid color Tamiya covered with their gloss clear, so I sanded the paint until it was smooth, repainted the color, and sprayed the gloss as soon as the color coat was dry. If you want to strip it, you might try 91% rubbing alcohol. Has to be 91%. I think the alcohol won't affect the bondo.
  22. I've had that paint cracking happen too. As I remember it was because I waited too long after the color coat to apply the clear. I think there is a window, but I don't know what it was. Maybe 24 hours?
  23. That color looks nice. I really like this kit, even as simple as it is.
  24. I believe the Divco's are Modelhaus. I've seen them on a few builds here.
