  1. Yes, thanks for posting, and for bumping the thread. This guy's from Japan. He used to have a website, but my links to it went bad years ago. His site had probably 50 more just like this one, all with the same incredible skill and attention to detail.
  2. They were called "wire baskets" and it seems you might be right. Here's pics with and without the basket.
  3. Yea, boy, this thang's got some reel class
  4. Oh, that pesky "deer". It sure gets around... I've hit it a few times
  5. Looks like its using water or something with low viscosity for lubrication.
  6. Excellent save, one of my favorite kits!
  7. Thats a great job on this thing! I got stymied at the chrome, stripped it, and now cant decide between allclad or sending it to chrometech.
  8. Beautiful, yes! Those are from the NHRA museum aren't they?
  9. Yes there was a post on it. Christopher Olson ( Gluhead ) posted this pic on TRaK. He calls them "sov-lights"
  10. The roof swap makes it look a lot like a 4-door hardtop!
  11. Ron can make anything look cool. That's all I'm sayin'....
  12. Davezinn did a nice job of de-suckifying this one.
  13. On a more happy note, I have a shirt with your design on it Jeff. Beautiful artwork.
  14. Yea, but the freight train and showboat had a purpose. Those others, not so much....

  16. I just cked again. No pink primer, only white. $11 plus $7 shipping. $18.00 for one can is no deal at all.
  17. Yup, nice save. Pretty cool to have it all of these years and take it back to its original glory.
  18. Someone at my doc's office has a Tesla S like this. It was a bit of a "wow" the first time I saw it. After 6 months or so, its just another ( yawn ) new car.
  19. That's great Jason! I don't know Rick but heard he's a good guy.
  20. The Hairy Canary a/fx is my #1. I saw it in a match race at Fremont around '67 with the Samson dart, Brutus GTO, Souza Bros. and Dad mustang. The race lasted into the evening. We wandered down towards the end of the strip after awhile, and the lighting was so poor it was getting very hard to see. As the eliminations began, here comes the Hairy Canary, full throttle, crossed up in the dirt, off the side of the strip, throwing rooster tails at about 160, in the dark. I still remember it like it was yesterday, 47 odd years later. I have a model of it, my most prized modeling possession.
  21. No interior pics, but this'll get ya started! http://www.hairycanaryracing.com/#!page4/cfvg
  22. That's a tough one...I've got lots of pics of that but none of the engine nor interior. There were a few incarnations of this, unblown, blown, different engine setbacks, etc. The pic you've posted seems to be circa 1968 blown with the engine low and setback in the chassis. Here's a pic of the engine in my model, which has a resin body mastered by the son of Williamson, one of the owners of the original car. You might also get ahold of him at hairycanaryracing.com or hairycanaryjr@aol.com
  23. Its made by Slot Mods. I have no idea how much he charges, but I would bet that Neiman-Marcus has a nice profit margin.
