  1. This is the way '37 Chevys look best. Nice work on this one. It's got some serious attitude. Love it!
  2. Yes, a very cool project indeed. Top notch work so far.
  3. Tamiya primer should work well on metal. When I paint metal, I use a Duplicolor primer designed for automotive work, since it is engineered specifically for metal. Whichever one you use, the key to success is surface preparation, perhaps even more so than plastic. Some sort of abrasive cleaning of the surface (fine sanding, etc) to remove oxidation & contaminants and provide some tooth, and a thorough cleaning with a solvent that will not leave residue (alcohol or lacquer thinner, as appropriate).
  4. Cool throw-back build. Nice work on this oldie. And I applaud reversing the direction of the spear, as having that vulture perched directly overhead could at times be unpleasant.
  5. Lovely work, Steve. I really like the style of this one. Very cool.
  6. Very nice work on this one. That's the nicest looking stock build I've seen of this kit. Very clean work. Well done.
  7. Nice work, Brian. Good looking paint work. Well done.
  8. Just catching up with this one. Lovely craftsmanship, Greg. And it's still one of the coolest hot rods I've seen in a long time. I really dig the whole vibe.
  9. Another cool project, Matt. Nice work on the body seams. Do you use a torch or a soldering iron?
  10. Now that is one wicked Pontiac. I love it, The black paint makes it look sinister. Well done, Ron. Nice rear tires on this build. Are they aftermarket?
  11. Lovely work, Tom. Very cool replica. Nice detailing.
  12. Looking good all foiled up.
  13. It's coming along very nicely. I quite like the colour, and the foil makes it pop.
  14. Wow! That's looking fantastic. I'm really digging the direction you've taken on this build.
  15. I think a '67/68 Mustang notchback would do well, arguably the prettiest of the notchbacks. That opens up possibilities for a convertible kit as well. Maybe a Terlingua Racing T/A racer, too.
  16. Welcome to the forum, Priscilla. Good to have you aboard. Enjoy.
  17. Welcome to the forum, Nathan, and welcome back to the hobby.
  18. Welcome to our little sandbox, Ian.
  19. One of the coolest old Ford COEs I've seen yet. Great work on this one.
  20. I love it! Very cool farm truck. Nice, clean work.
  21. Now there's a model you don't see every day. Nice work on the Matador. It's cool to see unusual stuff.
  22. Yup, I agree 100%. Hardware store lacquer thinner was my thinner of choice for Testors and other hobby enamels for many years.
  23. Some very nice work here. It's coming along very nicely.
  24. Smokey and the Bandit?
  25. Very cool! That is exactly how I picture Hot Rod Lincoln every time I hear the song. Clearly this is before that fateful race up Grapevine Hill, as there is no damage from the fenders clicking the guardrail posts. Nice work on this build, and congrats on getting another one completed.
