  1. FINALLY, it's out in 1/24th. It was in 1/18th, 1/43rd and 1/64th. Everything but the right scale.....I have all the others now I need to get this one. I have the resin 4-door from Perry's Resin and will be building that but since this is my current fave car from my current fave TV show I have to have them all.
  2. I first heard this description at the new model show in Louisville a few weeks ago. I'd like to adopt it as my building motto if that'd be permitted I think it's genius.
  3. Jimmy Flintstone has a panel version almost finished. It is to be offered in both stock height and chopped. Steve
  4. I'll go one further, Charlie, and say I HATE to see fire apparatus abused in this manner. How'd ya like to be trapped in those jump seats when the dump bed is down. I'd be way too claustrophobic.
  5. I have been trying to get a couple of the photo etchers to produce a set of all of the fire apparatus manufacturers badges. I photographed and measured each one when my antique fire apparatus club hosted a national muster several years ago but I can't get anyone interested. It's like the Beacon ray decal and Federal siren decal that come in the Revell 57 Ford Police/Fire issue. We need a whole sheet of these not one in each kit.......

  7. I gotta say. I bought one of these and the finish on the raw casting is so nice and smooth it will almost be a shame to paint it. It is as good as or better than the old Monogram kits where they polished the molds and the parts were ultra shiny. I can't say enough about how nice this piece is and well worth the price. I know how much RTV costs having done some casting of my own and the amount of RTV to make a mold for this must have been hundreds of dollars worth. And the mold must weigh a ton. Sugggestion for next project....the predecessor to this. the Streamliner.
  8. For the drive shaft take the kit driveshaft and get a piece of either brass or aluminum tubing that it slides into. Cut the kit part in half and slide an end into each end of the tubing. Measure how long the shaft needs to be and cut the tubing so that the entire length if your part is what you need. This will include some of the kit part sticking out of either end of the tubing. glue the ends in the tubing and you have your drive shaft.
  9. I bought one of the vans. I've been wanting this in plastic or resin for a LONG time. I think this was pulled off of the die-cast that auto parts stores were selling not too long ago. He has a lot of great items and more cool ones coming. Steve

  12. For years I have been trying to figure out how to make working Pilot-Ray driving lights in 1/25th scale. I'm thinking maybe watch parts will be helpful.

  14. Talked to them at the Buckeye Classic and the Derby City Shootout is no more. Not this year and never again per their club President.
  15. This truck, in real life, would ride like BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH. I just noticed that on the instruction sheets there are no rear shocks pictured or assembled to the frame. I think your cargo would be really shaken up without them. Steve
  16. I've been told a couple of times by Revell people that, sadly, the Renwal Revival tooling no longer exists. I would love to get a set of these, guess I need to keep haunting the Bay.... Monogram does need to start up their Classic series again. We need: L-29 Cord Auburn Speedster Pierce Arrow Classic Studebaker Stutz DV-32 For starters...
