1954 International Truck Resin
1st 700 Quad replied to 1964 Impala's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
For being only 16 years old and on a tight budget you are doing very fine work. Let us know when you plan to start selling these cabs. I'm in for a few. There have been quite a few fire apparatus (what I typically build) built on this chassis and I can't wait to replicate some of them. Steve -
1954 International Truck Resin

I'm very interested in one. Couple of questions. Are you using a vacuum tank for your RTV and are you using a pressure pot for your resin? Great looking work. -
Out Of Production Resin & Aftermarket Products

I have a "Buy it when I see it IF I can afford it." With resin kits and their respective prices that's not always possible. And don't get me started about Modelhaus... -

The roof lights are accurate representations of a Miller Meteor item from the period. -

1953 Ford 4-door sedan

Thanks. I bought one off of eBay and when I got it you could basically nest it inside the AMT hardtop body so none of the donor parts will fit. I'm currently grafting the greenhouse from the promo to the hardtop body, I'll have to rescribe the door lines and use interior door panels from 2 cars to make the interior sides. Sure wish I could find a resin, it'd make my job a WHOLE lot easier.... -
The Ultimate Fire truck model in 1/24th scale

Sorry, hardly the ultimate. -
What with the upcoming of the decades old announced Garbage Truck I'd sure like to see the creation of the 1926 Ahrens Fox fire engine that was originally announced around the same time as the garbage truck's first announcement.

And while they're at it, add to the decal sheet decals for the little screens that cover the air intakes right behind the door handles on both sides. -
Does anyone besides Star Models produce a 1953 Ford 4-door sedan. He's out and I need one for a project that I'd like to get started while the idea is fresh in my mind... Steve

I'd pay $75.00 in a heartbeat for a 1/25th Ahrens-Fox. -
Is J-Bot decals back in business from his health issues. I went to the site, selected some decals and when I went to check out, it told me the shopping bag function was disabled. Is it still this way?

Atlantis Sinclair fuel truck at Hobby Lobby.

I was pretty sure Atlantis added the clear parts to all of the old Revell truck kits that didn't have any. Steve -

Speaking of announced kits that never were, at about the same time this was announced AMT also announced a 1/25th scale Ahrens-Fox Piston pumper. I'd sure love to see THAT idea get resurrected and produced. -
I use photo-etched headlights from Germany. Here's a pic with the website on it. They come in various sizes, 6 and 7mm being the best for 1/24-25 scale. I think they look just like sealed beam bulbs.

I built that when it first came out. Funny little show rod.

When I buy a color, and yes, it's usually from the dollar store, I usually buy 6 bottles of a color. I'll have to try removing that neck insert, thanks.

I see so many guys using nail polish colors and I have purchased many colors myself but I have a basic question. All of the ones I have have a plug in the neck of the bottle that cleans the brush as it's pulled out so it only holds enough paint for one fingernail or so. How do you guys decant the polish from this type of bottle so it can be airbrushed? I've thought of using a dremel cut off wheel to sever the neck from the body of the bottle but then I fear I risk glass particles in the paint. Any ideas? Steve
