  1. Why not heat it in hot water and slowly and carefully bend it back to its correct position?
  2. I think it still turned out really well, and like any Ferrari where you can order different color mirror caps, you were able to maintain the Soul Red. These kits are expensive, but worth it since other manufacturers aren't producing the cars we want. I haven't built any of my AM kits yet - did the photoetch all fit well? I do find that AM has a problem with undersize wheels and tires and I've repeatedly told them that.
  3. Beautiful!
  4. Can't wait to see your build.
  5. Great job and color combo! I wish my photos turned out as well as yours.
  6. Suitable colors for that era that are now back in fashion. Great job on the build, and I like your photos/lighting.
  7. Ever since Aoshima lost their car guy to start his own company, Rocket models, we're left with reissues or modified ones. ?
  8. This was back in the day when Tamiya took risks and made pedestrian cars you think wouldn't be kitted! Can't wait to see more.
  9. If Revell is doing this, and fixing the windscreen, great! Maybe they should take feedback in the design phase - would be less costly to fix later on. Announce a kit, then show the CAD drawings, and ask for feedback.
  10. It's yin and yang with Revell - some good, some bad. I haven't forgotten the Porsche Panamera and its design and manufacturing errors, which were surprising given the pretty good AMG GT and McLaren 570 released around the same time. I had the E-type coupe on pre-order, but decided to wait for the convertible. Not only am I partial to convertibles, but also some of these issues (windscreen, window shapes, interior roof) are fixed without the top!
  11. Beautiful work! I thought I was looking at the real car,
  12. Wow, looks great for an unpainted body!
  13. Great job and really nice photos!
  14. Great job! Really like what you did and the color combo.
  15. Great job!
  16. Couldn't agree more.
  17. Thanks for reporting on this kit. Looks good so far.
  18. Nice work! I like the color combo.
  19. I don't get it. Why not do an accurate and more detailed 964 or 993? The Fujimi Enthusiast series are perfectly fine for this generation of 911 (https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/history/porsche-911-seven-generations-part-2-g-model-16459.html). Maybe they're working their way up in time.
  20. Depends on your perspective and what you build. I build mostly foreign cars/exotics, so my Revell ZR-1 looks small next to them.
  21. Agree! All kits should be 1/24 - get rid of this silly 1/25!
  22. Agreed on the SF-90. I'm pushing Alpha Models to do the Roma, SP2 Monza, and 812 GTS. Tamiya could milk their LaFerrari molds and make an LaFerrari Aperta. Wouldn't require that many different parts. I happen to be planning my own conversion, and the trickiest part is making the little black fender vents.
  23. Thanks for sharing the news! Kinda cool, just not my 1st, 2nd, or 3rd choice for a once or maybe twice-a-year new 1/24 road car. It's ugly IMO, but I understand the point. Maybe I'll get one if I think of a good color combo that I want to paint it. Already thinking Lexus Structural Blue by Splash Paints. Hopefully Tamiya releases a carbon decal set, but if not, I'm sure the aftermarket will step in.
  24. Thanks for sharing, and nice work!
