  1. Nice job!
  2. Beautiful! I'm building one too, in the same color.
  3. Beautiful work! I have the Renaissance resin version. While curbside and lacking chassis detail, I think it captures the shape of the front fenders a little better.
  4. Yes, but no free cars or discounts...sigh...haha, but maybe if I could afford his cars. Wholeheartedly agree with James' assessment of the Alpha kits. I have the Chiron and GTC4Lusso, which I have yet to start. They are nice kits if you just want to focus on exterior and interior colors, which is my favorite part of the build, and they seem to go together well in testing fitting, though I've noticed that the GT4Lusso's pre-cut windows need a little trimming in certain areas to fit the surrounds.
  5. I suppose I'll have to build my cousin's P1! https://canepa.com/dupont-registry-mclaren-p1-gtr-bruce-canepas-track-only-supercar/
  6. Fingers crossed for Tamiya's next car release. A Ferrari 812 GTS would've been nice too!
  7. Yeah, too many McLarens. The Porsche should've been an RS with the cool front fender vents. Also, would like to have seen the Ferrari SP1/SP2 Monza and/or Ferrari Roma. The 1/43 Singer Porsche they've posted to FB and other forums - did they copy a die cast model? Doesn't look like their usual CAD-designed models.
  8. Nice clean build! I used FG Model wheels too - got rid of those awful ones that come with the kit. Tamiya has done that before - why choose the worst wheels available on the real car?? My only criticism is the paint shade - it seems too dark for Atlanta Blue.
  9. Yeah, for my purposes close enough and Revell addressed the most problematic areas of other kits, but still...Revell is so inconsistent when it comes to body shape from one kit to another.
  10. Nice progress! Can't wait to see more.
  11. Nice job, and I like the leather covered convertible top. I just got this kit and look forward to building it.
  12. You aren't alone...a lot of people had a hard time getting the metal transfers to stick, especially to curved surfaces. I have this kit too and another area of weakness is the front and rear window trim. Tamiya's molding in this area is faint. Yours turned out nicely...I like the black on red too!
  13. This one? The Panamera body has several inaccuracies in addition to poor molding. At least Revell is inconsistent at getting things wrong, as opposed to being consistently wrong. Recent offerings like the 599 GTO, Aperta, AMG GT, or McLaren 570s are pretty good.
  14. Looks great! I recently bought the Renaissance conversion too and your build gives me inspiration.
  15. Oy. Quite crude but I can't wait to see what you do with this kit, Alex, like what you did with your Lusso. Important that the proportions are right, at least. As for color combos, that black/black looks great, but I've seen these cars in dark navy and Pino Verde that look great as well.
  16. Great job, Alex. Really nice color combo. What's next?
  17. Yeah, I don't like to new groupings. It makes it harder and slower to find what I primarily look for - the cars section, which is now spread over a WIP, Completed, and News section.
  18. Great job! I like the color too!
  19. Nice work! I have this kit too, and while its simplistic, it's pretty neat and shows well with the right modeling skills like you have! I note they omitted the chrome running down the center of the hood in order to allow for both halves to open. I'll probably seal it shut and include the chrome strip.
  20. Great build and post, Alex! I am jealous you found 3 solid days to build a kit, and equally jealous you got a nearly perfect clear coat in one pass!
  21. The tonal blue color scheme looks great! Gives me an idea for mine!
  22. Gravity Colors Spain is excellent in service and shipping to the USA and paint is good too . You can order from them and they will ship in short order. You will have none of the issues people have with GC USA.
  23. This is currently my situation. Printed the label days ago, no movement. This is after Mate promised weeks ago I'd have my order. Big notice on his site about COVID-19 impacts, but these delays aren't unusual for him coronavirus or not. Just wish he'd be more honest - if you aren't ready to ship, don't print the shipping label and mark the order as complete.
  24. Nice job! I like the color combo.
  25. I don't know, but sinkholes are depressing. ?
