  1. Thanks again! I'm tempted to build a couple more in other Aston colors that I like, but: 1) the kit is discontinued and aftermarket prices are too high; and 2) maybe I should work on the 130+ kits I have!
  2. Thanks all for the compliments!
  3. Started in 2011, finished in 2019! Really enjoyed building these Tamiya Aston Martin DBS models. Used a combo of Hobby Design metal decals and FG Model wheels. Painted in @Scalefinishes's Aston Martin Amethyst Red Metallic and Casino Royale colors and Tamiya TS-13 clear.
  4. From Hobby Search Model Car's website: -Breaking silence for over 20 years, Aoshima's Range Rover is finally back! -Copyright negotiations for long commercialization finally came true! -We have made a new mold for clear parts and renewed the contents to start preparation. -New decal -Complete set of new clear parts -Plated bumper -Chassis frame reproduction -Interior genuine leather specifications -Original aluminum wheel -Use MUDDUELER tires
  5. I second the LC500. I was hoping for a Mercedes G-wagon given Tamiya is doing it in RC form, but it was a sure bet the Supra would be coming first.
  6. As expected...https://www.hiroboy.com/124_Toyota_GR_Supra__Tamiya_24351--product--13375.html?fbclid=IwAR2dp_ClKmAIRB5pjuZqpvnKABYM6Tx8thE_alsCT0xlQK5DS5aQLxJIA9c

    Beautiful color combo! Great job.
  8. Perfect paint, perfect color combo, perfect photos!
  9. Tamiya is teasing a new kit on FB, to be announced on March 1st. Not sure if it's 1/24 or RC. From the silhouette and that antennae sticking up on the hood, I'm thinking it's a Porsche 911 GT3 cup car, but does the 1:1 cup car have an antennae on the hood? If not, then this could be an RC car. If it's a 1/24 car, it's great Tamiya is active again in the 1/24 space...I'd just love to see a road version - imagine the customization possibilities!
  10. Referring to the Fuelme's forged carbon fiber decals, which I bought recently. I also recently suggested Scale Motorsport create some.
  11. Totally agree with you. I like how the picture leaves nothing to the imagination.
  12. Aoshima previewed a new release in 2019, expected to the Pagani Zonda. http://www.ipmsdeutschland.de/Ausstellungen/Nuernberg2019/Bilder_VH/Aoshima_VH_01.htm
  13. Though the front seats are comically undersized like the AMG GT. I note that Tamiya sometimes has this problem too (thinking Aston DBS).
  14. I think the next Ferrari they are doing is a hardtop version of the Portofino. I'd rather see the open version, and an FF/GTC4 Lusso, which I suggested to them.
  15. Yet there's a guy on FB who got pissy at me when I said that Revell did a poor job on the Panamera body. Some people have a better eye for details than others...
  16. Has anyone had recent contact with Plamoz? Their products are great, but they haven't released anything new since September 2017. The last time they teased new products was Panamera wheels in March 2018, and they told me that they were waiting until they had a sufficient amount of new product to release to keep it economical. In addition, they used to be good about responding to inquiries (but they are still excellent at selling/shipping orders for in-stock items from the website). I hope they haven't gone the way of FG Models (out of business or nearly so and selling remaining stock) or Scale Finishes (very good to no communications).
  17. IMHO, the Tamiya 300sl is the best 1/24 version. The Italeri was the best version until Tamiya released their own, which is more accurate and detailed.
  18. Agreed, and with the red headlight covers like Ralph Lauren has on his car.
