What did you see on the road today?
sfhess replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Look at the back half of the car. A friend of mine worked in a Mopar wrecking yard several years ago. On a couple of occasions they put Dart front clips 0n 64-66 Barracudas. -
Don't panic. They are probably rearranging the store to confuse and amuse you (and buy more stuff that you find while searching for the kit half aisle)

Hydrogen powered truck
sfhess replied to Scott8950's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Back in the 70s there was a guy in Utah named Roger Billings who did a lot of work converting cars to run on hydrogen. He had a Honda Accord that ran quite well using hydrogen as a fuel. I wonder what happened to his work. -

Is this a glue bomb you are trying to "restore"? -
The bulk of posts will probably shift to the "look what I got at ollie's" threads.

I went to local HL the other day to make sure they still had all the same kits in stock. In the usual kit aisle, I was greeted by model railroad stuff, Evergreen, tools and other supplies. On the other side, was the Testors paint rack and the empty case that normally holds the spray cans (at the opposite end of the row from where it formerly stood). The rest of that side if the aisle was empty. Not even shelving. I found the kits a couple of aisles over. They are rearranging the store.

The "parts pack" with the camper and "wedge" was more recent. There is one of those on eBay for almost as much as the original-issue kit mike referenced.

If you want. My Subaru Outback serves as a shooting brake on the days we visit the range. -
Shout out to Gregg for excellent work on GSL
sfhess replied to tnungester's topic in Model Cars Magazine News and Discussions
BF, Gregg has always been one of the hardest-working people I have seen at any model car show, taking pictures of the models, visiting with people, promoting the magazine and just being a great guy. Yes, he has to stop and rest sometimes, but he puts a lot of us to shame with the effort he puts in to produce the magazine and promote the hobby. He was in the show room at GSL late Saturday night, getting photos of models that were not brought to him for photographs during public show hours. Thank you, Gregg, for all you do!!! -

It was on the cover of Car&Driver. They had a feature article on the car. -
Mach 1s had a flip open gas cap. Other models had a twist-off gas cap.
