  1. A little Celica with a big Lincoln engine - how cool.
  2. I have a Corvair engine ready for that kit.
  3. Sorry, Dr. Cranky, but I can't vote for you. Depending on the candidates, I may once again write myself in for President of the United States.
  4. Yo Gregg - are either of those shops in Milwaukee near the airport? I'll be lfying into General Mitchell and then driving out to The Abbey in Fonatana next month. Maybe if they were along the way I could stop by.
  5. Thanks Paul & Jim. I just keep plugging away trying to do my best.
  6. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
  7. Thanks for the comment. I'm happy with the outcome.
  8. Nice work going on there, David. I'm liking those wheels. Are they some kind of Pegasus units?
  9. Strip styrene as jeff suggested. Love that Jepp, Jeff.
  10. I have a bunch of flathead engines if that'll help you build a stash, Don.
  11. Beautiful build.
  12. Wow! Thank you, Skip.
  13. That's some weird looking stuff, David.
  14. I went out to Michaels & Hobby Lobby this morning looking for those pieces that DavidG posted a pic of. Couldn't find them. Ebay isn't much help either. I shall continue the search
  15. Thanks fellas. They're just Pegasus wheels but I added valve stems.
  16. Rob's Hobby World (my LHS). Hobby Lobby & Michaels (with coupons). Trades with MCM members. Online from a variety of sources - Hobbylinc, Jimohio, Model Roundup, Mega Hobby, Tower Hobby, to name just a few.
  17. I'm missing something here. Why aall the excitement? What's the difference between this reissue and AMT '50 Chevy #8051 other than the Texaco decals?
  18. Whoa Daniel. Those bead parts look really good. I've never seen them at Michaels or HL. Would you happen to have a manufacturer and part number? I need to get my hands on some of them. I think I'm going to suspend the building of my '40 Ford 4 link suspension until I hear back from you.
  19. Yup - Vietnam Service. It's goes on all my builds. Rear plate (tag) reads WW NAM, as in World War Vietnam. And it's a real plate (tag) here in FLA. I didn't move them - like you said, we only need a rear plate (tag) down here. The kit came with bucket seats and if it didn't, I would have put buckets in it, as buckets are my personal preference. You know, I didn't pay any attention to the direction of the tires. Sorry. The spindles are glued in and I'd probably damage soemthing if I tried to remove and correct them. And thank you guys for taking a look.
  20. AMT 1971 Duster finished in HOK Galaxy Grey with a few coats of clear, then sanded and polished (my 2nd time). I've been installing oil dipsticks, radiator hoses, battery cables, and brake lines into my builds lately and this one has them. I liked the seats and so I made a mold for them and castings for other builds. The Duster also has Pegasus wheels and the Brembo disc brakes that I cast.
  21. Looks like you nailed it to me, Neal. Terrific work.
  22. There's some resin caster who has tubbed rear portion of a chassis taht might fit. I believe he also had a narrowed rear end to go along with it. Sorry I don't remember the guys name - but he posts here so hopefully he'll see your need and respond.
  23. Hope whatever the doc does to you isn't too painful and you'll recover quickly, G. The joys of getting older.
  24. Pretty neat conversion you're doing, Chuck. I find it very interesting.
