  1. I dare you to finish it. Double dare you.
  2. I'm liking this one, Lyle - especially what you did to the rear end. What's on the interior floor? Embossing powder?
  3. Same answer for putty. I switched from rattle cans to an airbrush last year and love it. The Tamiya rattle cans were great but getting too expensive. Testor's lacquer were very nice.
  4. Nice looking build going on. I'd like to get one of those Pajero's to build but they're expensive.
  5. Book 'em, Danno.
  6. This guy has been eluding the US for 10 years. TEN YEARS! You expect me to believe that with all the US technology, spies, intelligence, etc., it took that long? Snipers who can hit a small target from a mile away and they couldn't find Bin laden and pop his head? Do you really believe a guy with all his money would be living in a cave for so long? I have a bridge for sale, if anyone is interested. No pics - you'll just have to trust me.
  7. That little VW is extremely cool.
  8. With a 2S college deferment in my pocket, in 1968 I enlisted for 2 years in the United States Marine Corps. That gave me a 95% guarantee of going to Vietnam. Why? Because 7 friends from high school (class of 1966) had already been killed in Vietnam. I went for revenge! Do you think Bin Laden's followers will do any else? I believe it's going to hit the fan real soon and real bad.
  9. The end result is superb.
  10. That was a lot of pics to go through. Some really nice stuff there. Maybe one of these days I'll be able to get out there. Thanks for posting all those pics, Gregg.
  11. I don't want to make you guys who still live up north bad, but the sun is out and it's about 83 degrees here in west central FLA. Sure beats the weather I left in Chicago. So what are you waiting for? Come on down. The pool heater shuts off when the temp gets to 90, and the heater kicked off a little while ago. Now - should I stay on the computer, or hit the water? You guessed right - POOL TIME.
  12. Oh no. Another builder going to the dark side. Chrome and shiny paint rules!
  13. Good looking build, Jay. Welcome back to the hobby. Great place and some excellent people here.
  14. Don't forget to put on a water trap. I love my Paasche H.
  15. Most excellent, Tim. The VW axle is very good and the idea for suspension brackets is a superb idea. Keep it coming.
  16. I have every intention of being alseep tonight at midnight. Saturday we have our Vietnam Veterans Gathering golf tournament to help raise the funds necessary to bring a scale version of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial to Citrus County. We have to be at the golf course at 7:00am and who knows when we'll get home. Needless to say, I won't be on the computer much more tonight and maybe not at all tomorrow. Good luck with whatever you're going to do, Dr. Cranky. I'll try to check in on Sunday.
  17. The mailman just delivered the kits I won on an ebay auction - MPC '67 GTO Revell '69 GTO Judge Revell Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee Revell '99 Chevy Silverado Revell Johnny Lightning '64 GTO Revell '69 Camaro Z/28 Monogram '39 Chevy street rod AMT '62 Pontiac Catalina The Judge and Charger might be hitting the swap & trade area soon.
  18. Terrible for all those people and my prayers are with them. Are the foreign countries lining up to help? I really doubt it.
  19. Terrific bike. My rear end hurts from riding that rigid frame, though.
  20. Never heard of Turtle Wax for model cars. I still use The Treatment Model Car Wax, if that helps.
  21. Ah, clean and shiny. The only way to build. Looks terrific.
  22. Welcome Lui. Lots of good stuff going on here.
  23. Sorry folks. My displeasure took over for a short time. I've edited my previous post to reflect a better attitude towards bad traders.
  24. Prices increases are all because of oil, hence petroleum. What takes those parts from Poland to the boats? Probably trucks. What picks up those parts in the USA and takes to them Revell? Trucks. And what takes the completed kits to the stores? Once again, trucks. We all know the price of fuel continues to rise and somebody has to pay the bill. We do. So instead of voting for Dr. Cranky for president, vote for me and we'll take over the oil producing nations one way or another. All the oil from Alaska will stay here andd not be shipped to Japan. MAybe if I'm elected we'll do a deal with all the model car manufacturers and give them a government subsidy to lower their prices - but maybe raise taxes. NO - No tax increases. I'll jusy abolish all foreign aid and keep the money in the USA. I might be willing to help out Canada, but they'll have to do something about the cold air blowing south first. And with that, it's time to make dinner - meat loaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, and then a dip in the 90 degree pool. Darn. Life is tough.
  25. I haven't seen the pics yet, but welcome to the forum, Hugh. It's a great place to post and learn.
