The trunk is open in the kit so yeah, the whole trunk interior will be flocked. I added a hinge and filled the recess (I think a spare tire was carried back there.
I'm finally getting something done. Here's the interior for my street '33 Willys. I tried my hand at tuck & roll and making my own arm rests w/door handles. There's flocking in there too. The body is painted and cleared and hope to complete it next week.
James - my avatar pic isn't a model. It's a real 1:1 EMPI Imp. And it's for sale.
There could be a market (swap & trade) for some of your uncles old models. Some people around here (MCM forum) go nuts for that old stuff.
Okay Nick. Here you are.
And in case anyone is wondering, Nick did a how to tip some time back about making a trailer hitch. I followed Nick's instructions & pics on this build.
Jody,
I got the 21 capacity display case from Carney Plastics for Christmas and it is really nice. Even has a mirrored back. Very well made. I bought a couple sheets of plexiglas at Lowe's yesterday figuring I'd try my hand at a couple of single display cases. I had some finished oak with routed edges that the plexi will fit to. I already painted the base and put ballast on it so it looks like asphalt. Another I might do with grass and another a display like you might see at a 1:1 car show.
Check out Carney Plastics though. You might like what they offer.
I'm liking what I'm seeing so far.
Had a chance to rent a new Challenger over the weekend in Chicago. There was a chance for snow so I decided to rent a front wheel drive Dodge Journey instead.
