  1. At the top right, click Account, then drag down to Account Settings. Settings tab should be up, find Username (2nd line) and click CHANGE. You can set your username to whatever- For the sake of example, say you set it to MCMA. Confirm it, or whatever it wants you to do. I think at this point, the page address would be www.facebook.com/mcma, if I'm not mistaken.
  2. Without a doubt, the best two forums for you to get some help with that car are Fox Body Forum and Four Eyed Pride. Two good places to look for parts are CJ Pony Parts and Late Model Restoration. That thing looks pretty straight for its age and for the price! I like it. As far as a model goes, the only thing I know of has been this- which is in 1/32 scale. There have been a couple of coupe resin bodies, but they've been based on the '87-93 body style. Pretty much everything else I'm aware of is a hatchback or convertible. THIS SITE has a pretty good list (but not an exhaustive list) of what Fox kits are out there. I've found a couple of odd things here and there on eBay that aren't included on that list... Good luck with it, and its small scale twin.
  3. Also check out www.jegs.com and www.summitracing.com. You can search for headers for the particular car you're building, and if they have them, then you can mimic the shape of those in the photo and maybe get them to fit your model a little better.
  4. Just wanted to add, that's one reason I drill a small hole to start with, then open it up with the Xacto- If you use a drillbit that's just the right size for the solder, then miss your location by a little bit, then you've messed up. You can drill the small hole as close to the middle of the exhaust port as you can, and if it's off a little, you can work it with the Xacto to get the hole centered up in the right spot by the time it's the correct size.
  5. Oh man, I got called out! How's it goin, Jack?! So the next meeting is Fri, Aug 13? I'll mark it on my calendar and do my best. I've only been saying I'd come for what, 5 years? :-)
  6. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=32561&view=findpost&p=324935 Check out my '66 Nova build thread too. Don't be scared to drill into the heads. Just use a drill bit large enough to allow you to get your Xacto into the hole you drilled. I used a #61 bit, the biggest in the set of little bits I have. Then I spun the Xacto blade tip in the hole all the way around so that it scraped out the hole to the right diameter. Stop periodically to see if the solder will slip into the hole. I didn't want it to be too loose, because I wanted the hole to help hold the solder in place. One thing I noticed on a few builds on that other thread is the lack of flanges at the head. It's great that the tubes stay in place just being stuck in the holes, but it doesn't look realistic. (EDIT: I looked again, and I think those are in-progress shots, so I assume the builder hasn't added the flanges yet..? No offense to whoever built those.) Study pics of real headers, and you'll see they all have some kind of flange, either one across all exhaust ports, or individual ones for each port, but there's gotta be something to bolt them onto the head with. The flange isn't that hard to build. You can kinda see my process of making them. Just drill them out like you do the exhaust ports, and make the holes just big enough for the solder to slip all the way through. Plus, if you damage the head while you're drilling it out, the flange could help hide some of that. HTH
  7. A friend of mine showed me a nice looking chrome plastic spoon. I found a spray can at a LHS, but haven't tried it yet.
  8. No... Either been busy, or been working on my MP Nova. Forgot to say, I enjoyed your progress shots and the work you've done to your GT lately. Keep it up. I have a stack to work on here, might pick something up and run with it once the Nova is done.
  9. Looks like.... cold.
  10. I did some snooping and I believe it's them, based on the location listed on the eBay ads, and because I had located W&M's address once, but couldn't find it again when this thread got going...
  11. I'm not a Falcon fan, but I LIKE this one!
  12. I did some work to the P51D kit I have yesterday- smoothing seams, removing raised panel lines, cleaning stuff up, clipped the wings slightly. I toyed with an old F16 canopy, but I think I'll just use the stock P51D bubble canopy. If this was a more detailed kit, I think I'd be more motivated to put more work into it. Not sure on a paint scheme, but I've got colors in my head.
  13. Isn't the bottom half of the wing the same as what's on my LX hatch? If so, then I've got one to measure too.
  14. I wouldn't try it... The styrene will put some nasty stuff into the air that you'd be better off not breathing.
  15. Use quotation marks. Ex: 1966 Chevelle yields 1966 stuff and Chevelle stuff, so try "1966 Chevelle".
  16. Very clean, just like the outside!
  17. Awesome, thanks! I missed it I guess, but I'll go look for it. EDIT: I didn't miss it- I posted in it! But that was months ago, and it was before the chop. Your chop job looks great! I think I had some similar right angle type lines drawn on mine, but was too scared to put the blade to it. I may have to try it now.
  18. +1 Very clean builds, John. Do you have any engine or chassis shots?
  19. Looks good. I'm not a fan of the nose itself, but it looks like you did some great work grafting it on without scars. I was looking at how to chop the top on this one, and it seemed a bit hard to me last time I checked it out, but yours looks good. Did you happen to take any in-progress shots of the chop to show where you made your cuts? Again, good job!
  20. That looks mean! I like the notch Barracudas. This one looks great.
