  1. LOL In an alternate universe, there's a movie called Animal House where Tuna's brother's Cadillac gets turned into the Deathmobile...
  2. I wouldn't mind having a set myself...
  3. Looks like Reef Blue, which was 1993-1995 only.
  4. I guess I should try casting a copy of the 5.0 badge on the 89 'vert body with foil and CA glue, or I may have to go after the photoetched detail set that has the 5.0 badges... And then there's the annoying fact that the MPC kits expect everyone to use side pipes with the V8... So I'll need to build a Y pipe to use with the 4 cylinder's stock exhaust, or upgrade to duals with the 87/88 exhaust.
  5. Anybody have any idea why the MPC "Wild Breed" '81 Cobra has a badge molded in on the side of the body that says "SS"...?? Just got this one in from eBay. I think it'll end up being an '82 GT.
  6. Very clean and sharp! I like it. Definitely not a Rat Rod. That term is over-used and incorrectly applied to anything with a black and red theme or satin paint.
  7. Wouldn't it be the other way around..? The distributor or mag has to be there, the blower is an option.
  8. That looks good!
  9. One minor thing I do is leave the transmission in bare plastic until right before it's installed in the chassis. This allows me to handle it by the unpainted part and not damage the paint or make me paint it more than once. I also try to drill any spark plug wire holes before paint, just to avoid having to paint the same part multiple times.
  10. The exhaust manifolds' port spacing leaves me scratching my head...
  11. Good job!
  12. I expected something more like this: But that's much cuter.
  13. Very nice! What did you use to color them? Marker?
  14. Looks good! Don't forget your rear view mirror
  15. I don't know how that AMT kit is, but the Revell 69 Yenko is a nice kit, can't go wrong there.
  16. Put some vaseline on it to help it seal.
  17. I'd be the one fretting over spending the money, and my girlfriend would tell me to get it if it's what I want... But then again, we're not married, and it's my money, not hers.
  18. Looking good, Bradley! Glad to see someone is getting some work don on this thread.... ...because I'm not. I need to decide which project I'm going to concentrate on, and go with it. I'd had modeling ADD lately, and have been doing just a little bit to several things, mostly sanding tires and mold lines.
  19. A toilet cleaner called "The Works" also works. Haven't tried any of the generic brands...
  20. Yeah, you wouldn't know it was any trouble by looking at it. Very clean! Any engine, underside, or interior shots?
  21. I'm not running a CAI on my car, but I am running the March Ram Air setup, which is essentially the same thing as VW Dave describes. I have a little scoop under the front valence, with some flexible duct like big diameter dryer vent hose going to the air box located where the stock flat panel air box was. The box houses the cone filter, and I've got an aluminum elbow between the MAF and throttle body to replace the stock rubber piece and all its associated turbulence... I think March might've made a setup like this for the 94-95 5.0s too, but I'm not sure. I've heard a few folks mention they wished this was available for a S197. I don't know if it helps much, but I can't see how it isn't feeding some cooler-than-underhood air to the engine.
