NICE build! It's got all the right fixes and added details. Very cool. I just got this kit and have an RMR resin transkit on the way - I hope to build the 1970 K&K Charger Daytona grand national. Is that the out-of-box ride height for the front wheels? i like how they're tucked into the wheel opening.

Stacey David hisself probably signed off on this kit. Revell presented him with the box art build and he must have said "Looks great!" We have to remember that, for the car guys that don't build model cars, model cars are just office/book shelf decoration or "kid stuff." The lack of an under-floor master cylinder, or a correct I-beam even, isn't a deal breaker when you look at this as an "arm's-length replica." Or, maybe Stacey did say something, but it was too late to retool. Either way, he had to sign off on it - his name is on it.

Looking great, Ira! I like the idea of an "industrial/Star Wars" paint scheme - Lots of metal tones, maybe some rivets, etc. How do you feel about removing the wing uprights and, instead, having the end plates extend down and mold into the body? I think that would provide a more aero and cohesive look, IMHO.

Nailed it! Man, that looks sweet. Don't worry about the underside, go curbside here and have a great shelf model. Plus, a better chance of finishing it. For the seat, do like I did on my flat black '50 Chevy PU (in my fotki link in my signature). I printed out a resized Mexican blanket image from the internet on regular printer paper and glued it to the seat with white glue - the more wrinkles the better! Have fun with it!

Yes, I'm trying to get the look of a '63 coupe with the Rat Packer kit. The 1:1 I'm replicating didn't run a front bumper, so the fit in that area isn't an issue. Essentially I need the Boss Nova grille/headlights/hood to fit the '65 Rat Packer.

Before I buy a Boss Nova just to get the correct grille for a replica '63 drag coupe, do these pieces interchange easily? Thanks! Matt

I agree with James. Especially if you want to build an AMT '56 Victoria, '57 Fairlane or '58 Impala (the opening-door kits). Try to get one from the '60s or early '70s - before they wore the molds out and when they were still produced in the USA.

If you don't want to see questionable content, adjust your search settings to 'Strict' or similar to avoid seeing adult content. As for the rest of the results you mention, if you searched images for 'searchlight drawings' the Congressman probably had a bill entitled Searchlight and his image was in an article online about it. A large flashlight could be considered a searchlight too. That's what the search engine found for searchlight. You probably also saw many images of drawings of all types. If you enclose a phrase in double quotes, that forces the search engine to look for the phrase, and not each word (in theory). Maybe try "searchlight technical drawings" or "searchlight blueprint". It never hurts to get more specific in your query if you're not finding what you're looking for. One thing's for sure - what you want is out there on the Internet!
