  1. Sad to see the NYPD and SFPD markings gone since the preview artwork, but that's just business I guess. Danno, I can't find the Harlan County nod. Where is it??
  2. I saw a hot rodded Bantam pickup diecast at NNL East about 5-6 years ago. Maybe use eBay for your research, then buy elsewhere?
  3. Thanks Carl! If I trade Lee part-for-part from your list will he be all set? I've got a 2n1 parts kit I'm willing to part out and will gladly take the vintage roundy-rounder parts.
  4. Hi Lee, Go buy the Fireball Roberts release and we can swap front bench seats & upholstery decals. (I'll trade you for the seat out of my 2n1 kit.) I believe you will then have the parts to do a factory stock supercharged car. Bringing this back on topic - I got my MK police car version this weekend and it is Grrrreat! Matt
  5. It's true. A new-tool '56 F-100 would be a great seller. That is a beautiful, one-year-only design.
  6. AMT did '60 - '63 F100 kits. I'm hoping Moebius goes back from here and gives us a '65-'66 tool with IFS and a '64 with I-beam front axle.
  7. The Polar Lights '64 GTO coupe & convertible kits have optional cheater slicks that look exactly like the 1/18s in your photo.

Outstanding! What an imaginative use of a sub-par kit. Love it!
  9. Scale Hobbyist dot com Can't recommend them enough! Great company, nice prices & superb service.
  10. While technically a Model King release, the Revell '57 Ford Police Car is showing as "Late July" on Model Roundup.
  11. Thanks guys! I'll have to pick up some 91% soon. Yes, the Buffing Metalizer in the spray can is lacquer. Sak - I've read that the bottle metalizers can be fragile, but this buffing spray can be polished with a cotton cloth and won't budge. Heck, CSC barely dented it!
  12. I used the buffing Metalizer from a spray can over bare plastic. Tried soaking in CSC for 3 days - parts are now gray/black and tacky but won't scrub clean. 91% alcohol maybe? Easy Off? Thanks!
  13. Tubular headers look super! What's your paint recipe for those?
  14. WOW! Beautiful build. Great styling/customizing.
  15. Sure, it's a compliment. Consider the source. Someone outside our hobby remembers a model kit from childhood, perhaps. A box full of parts, all in one color (save for chrome), that was probably assembled, painted with a brush and a glue finerprint on the windshield. Saying your build looks like a Franklin Mint diecast means it looks like a miniature replica, not what I just described above. Model on!
  16. Wicked! Great sytling choices. I love it. Where did you source the wheels/tires?
  17. Nice work on such a cool car! Those mockup shots are inspiring. I need one of these.
  18. Thanks for this information!
  19. This is going to be great!
  20. I like it like this! May have to build mine like this... Nice build, Glu.
  21. While the underpinnings look very familiar (Fujimi) the Rosso body much better resembles the 1:1 in its nuances (specifically the engine cover & front and rear valences). Plus, the engine cover insert and taillight grilles are separate pieces (not so on Fujimi's) making for much easier painting. I have all three TR kits (Rosso, Fujimi & Monogram) and, IMHO, Rosso is clearly the best. That said, I do think they reverse-engineered the Fujimi kit and then improved the body.
  22. Yes, and it's a good time to visit Hobby Link Japan for this reason.
  23. What happened to Joe? His account was deleted and all posts removed. ???
  24. Jerry's love of this hobby was infectious, indeed. His builds (and photo backdrops) were always a treat. He is missed. His brother Jackie goes by the username "gator" on the Randy Ayers Nascar forum. You should be able to contact him from there.
  25. Hi Josh, No, the RMR conversion allows you to turn the DoH car into a NASCAR Charger Daytona (wing car). jjsipes has a build in progress in the NASCAR forum using the RMR set. Check it out.
