  1. "ASUKA MODELS (Formerly TASCA MODELLISMO) is pleased to announce its' new kit of the American Bantam Recon Car (AS 24-005) in 1:24 scale." This is the early, wire slat-grilled Jeep, prior to Willys getting the contract. Should retail around $40.00.
  2. New York offers it too. I have a 1964 "World's Fair" plate on my '64 F100 now. Niiiiice Charger!
  3. I assembled my Slingster frame last night (box front, not pinched). When I build my second with the pinched rails I might see if the bellypan pieces can be used as a jig. Maybe leave the mounting posts on the rails and hopefully the pans will keep everything true. Without them last night, it was a little dicey getting everything squared up. I think I got it about 97% square. Also, I'm thinking of mounting the second spring perch atop the first, then removing the bottom-most tab, effectively dropping the front end in the weeds about four scale inches. Fun kit!
  4. Got my decals last week. GREAT product, shipped fast cross-country too. Thanks Chuck! Buy with confidence.
  5. Right on! Gotta get a '70 Sox Cuda too. Keep it going, Revell.
  6. That F-150 nose looks like it was built with Legos.
  7. FWIW, Southern Motorsports Hobbies (smhracing dot com) sells a resin, non-SS, '81-'85 nose for NASCAR use. It fits the Monogram Monte Carlo stockers, so would fit the 1/24 factory stock body too. It would be a good start, but you'd still need to fab the headlights, turn signals and egg crate grille.
  8. Received my kits yesterday and got to see what's inside the box. I am very impressed with the parts and kit design. Instruction booklet is hefty, offering separate build-ups for each of the six versions. Great job Revell!
  9. Are these in the US yet?
  10. I'm in for a sheet! Looks good.
  11. I'm really interested in how they are tooling this kit. They are really thinking ahead and taking a broad swath for options, parts, platforms, etc. Very nice model kit design IMO and, most likely, worth the wait!
  12. Did he pass away? I thought he just quit making decals. Lots of his stuff is still available on the secondary market.
  13. I looked back and saw the pics next to the Wild Willie Altered & Ramchargers rail. It looks like 1/25 to me. I just ordered two from GMS...
  14. Redacted images? Dangit! Oh well, my anticipation is only heightened. Can't wait!
  15. So what's the verdict on scale? Underscale, or 1/25? Thanks.
  16. Here's an in-progress shot of my build with the RMCoM cab and smoothed hood from years ago, Bernard. Hopefully Norm can still use the mold and get you one.
  17. I think Replicas & Miniatures of MD does one. 3" chop & nice, thin white resin.
  18. No formal review structure. These are created by board members in their spare time. Once you formalize it and create a template, it's more like work than fun. Just my opinion.
  19. John, It's just like when you were a kid. Dear Santa... Then, it's under the tree on 12/25 and you're tearing into it with delightful abandon. Enjoy!
  20. I'm thinking of casting copies of a NASCAR nose I modified. It will be from the top of the wheel openings, forward, no hood. Will the Mini Casting Kit at Hobby Lobby have enough material? It lists "4-ounces of quick set silicone rubber & 8-ounces of casting resin" on the desription online. Thanks!
  21. Wicked! Very nice vintage builds here, David. Well done.
  22. Same story with me last summer (or thereabouts), Dan. 1) Order, pay with PayPal, wait. 2) After a week of hearing nothing (order status email, etc) I inquire about order status. Told it's out of stock, should be in "next week." 3) Wait another week. Inquire again. No repsonse. Never heard from Kevin again, via email or phone. 4) Had to lodge a complaint with PayPal to get my money back. He didn't even respond to PayPal. Never again. I agree with you Dan - in this day and age there's no excuse to go incommunicado for more than a business day, especially for someone with an internet storefront. My 2 cents.
  23. Thanks Tim & Tom!!
  24. Yes, please. Especially the new engine parts. I would like to see those. Thanks.
