  1. Yes, it does resemble the model I built. I'm considering custom stripes if I can get my hands on some automotive grade vinyl. I have a few other changes in mind, also... Its my New Money Pit!
  2. Welcome to the MCM Forum... You'll enjoy it here. Since you've been around a few boards, you will find a lot of that "Stuff" doesn't happen here. It really is a nice place to hang out... Just watch out for that Jairus guy trying to get you to pay membership dues!
  3. Wait till I get my striping done! No hp gain, but it'll look faster!
  4. News flash... earlier I said I had an 03 Subaru Outback... No More! Trade in fodder for my new toy, an 07 Mustang GT! I've had it about 48 hrs and I'm LOVIN' IT!
  5. Just send a note to the address listed in the Cordless Airbrush ad... I'm sure they'll send you a catalog! Gregg, That was just pure
  6. And that makes you different from the rest of us?
  7. Nice build, excellent engine detail!
  8. Nicely done!

    06 Mustang

Nice builds! Love that Mica blue... such a sweet color!
  10. Excellent build! I've been waiting to see this one done... and the wait was worth it!
  11. Mmmmm... Thats nice!
  12. 03 Subaru Outback... which I'm hoping to trade in shortly on an 07 Mustang. Then there's this old thing... 64 Galaxie, 3rd owner, mostly origonal.
  13. Welcome to the forum, I'm sure you'll enjoy your time spent here! For a so called "not a master in anyway", That some pretty nice work you're doing on the F430!
  14. Thanks, That was the intention. Leave it long enough and it starts to blacken, also. Accidental discovery, as I found a peice of wire in a jar of BW...
  15. Ahhhh... Richmond, The old Homestead... Can't say I miss it, though! Yeah, I think I like the new harmony on the board! 8)
  16. Came out pretty nice! Thats a striking color combo! That era had some oddball mopars, but ya gotta love 'em!
  17. Darn it ! I've never looked at your website before, so I just noticed some of the cool stuff you have! I may just have to send you some money... Wonder if the kids need new shoes? (Rhetorical question... They're teenage girls... Of course they need new shoes... and clothes... and stuff!!!) The center door T sedan is really cool!
  18. Nice work! I'm a model kit dummy... Is this a conversion? Resin? If its a conversion, you should seriously consider making a mold of it! I love oddball wagons and that would definitely be an addition to my stash!
  19. You're a man of few words... But lotsa pics! Nice work so far on the engine/chassis. Are you going with the white/orange accent like the drawing? Should be pretty subtle when its finished!
  20. I thought the same thing when I saw that one! Neat builds, I'm not sure I've ever seen these subjects done before, especially as nicely as yours!
  21. I took the pledge long before the latest flap! Seeing meltdowns on other boards convinced me to keep on subject (building models!) and avoid any other subject.
  22. Even unfinished, its already a beautiful build!
  23. I've been plugging along steadily... doing more detail work... Brake lines this time. Brake lines are fine craft wire, rubber hose is a bead thread made of rubber. I make my couplings from hex styrene rod, drilling them out and turning the ends down on my Dremel. I dunk my shiny craft wire in Bleche White whitewall cleaner to tarnish it a little and to give the adhesive a "tooth" to grab ahold of. Most of the lines are glued with Micro Scale Crystal clear, a few lines are bonded with Future. I see now that I have to wash the "Shinys" with some flat acrylic I'm kind of under the gun now, since my plan is to finish this for GSL... Enjoy, Comments always welcome
  24. 1. Revell 64 Impala... The number one choice around here! Monte Carlos are also pretty popular. 2. Pegasus and Hoppin' Hydros has a lot of other parts like hydraulic pumps, seats, steering wheels, etc... 3. Whatever you like, but classic low riders tend to use a lot of candies I'm not a low rider builder, but since I live in CA, I see a lot on the tables... Take a look at my contest photos... you'll probably find a lot of examples http://public.fotki.com/ModelCarGuy2003/model_car_shows/
  25. I'm doing brakelines on my 32 right now... I've settled on a couple ways to glue them. First off, though, I dunk my shiny craft wire in Bleche White whitewall cleaner (other mildly corrosive cleaners would work) for a couple days. This tarnishes the wire a little and leaves some "tooth" on the wire for adhesives to grab. I've been using crystal clear white glue on lines between couplings, where I can be assured theres some tension to keep the wire in place. Crystal clear dries clear, so any glue blobs are less apparent. I've also been using Future as a glue, just a drop will wick into the coupling and secure the wire. I make this stuff up as I go, so this is probably only one of many techniques that will work. I'll try to post some pics soon, since I'm almost done with my brakelines.
