  1. Thanks... Those are great pics... and as near as a fellow model builder, Mr. Metallic.
  2. Sorry for not explaining earlier... Thats an intake for a flathead... the green circle is at the backend. The rad hoses come off the heads.
  3. Do you have any pics you can post? I'm a mechanical moron, so I have to ask... The projection circled in red... What is that intended to be? The area cirlcled in green... Thats the place for the oil filler tube, right?
  4. Simply Sweet!
  5. C'mon Brian... you can get it done! Peterson finished one... you gonna let him show you up? Personally, with straight stripes, I'd do decals (if you're planning on white) but I'm kinda lazy lately. :?
  6. My fave... Classic ground pounder... A little more "Modern" interpretation of two classics...
  7. I think its worth noting that a lot of builders want to do it themselves, After all, thats what we do for fun and enjoyment. Depending on your plans, if you offer any options you'll probably get bombarded with special requests. Sounds like a good way to use up ALL of your spare time. If I was building them, I would consider putting each one up for auction when it was done. That way you don't have to deal with orders, backlog, special requests, etc.... You'll also get to judge the market by the interest you see in bidding. Good Luck, however your plans work out...
  8. I have an open box that I've been scrounging parts from. You can have the instructions. I'll try to scan them tomorrow.
  9. Thats a fun looking project, I like where you're going with it. Do a Google image search for 57 Chevy Dash... theres several nice picturres out there.
  10. Very nice ride, great color combo! That new box art keeps catching my eye... may have to build one soon!
  11. Yeah, the whole truck in texture would be a bit much, too distracting. Hmmm... Maybe do the top portion of the cab/bed in the texture, lower half very dark green or Tamiya black mettalic? You could also seperate the colors with a thin gold stripe. Just an idea...
  12. Looks great! For an "Old Guy" I think you did a good job, also. Since you're in the club with some of the others here, have them show you how to black the window edges and your next build will be even better.
  13. Lace masking? Whatever it is, its a cool effect. Kinda like alligator hide.
  14. Very nice! I'm kicking myself, because I don't remember seeing it at NNL South!
  15. Thats a great looking project... Always liked those Baby Mustangs! Great color choice and wheels.
  16. Great Job, Dan! I like it, it has that "Street look" you talked about. Our models never impress us as much as they do others, do they? Then again, we know all the boogers in our own builds!
  17. Someone recently asked to see my build-up pics of my 29 p/u, so I uploaded them for him. That inspired me to upload the rest of my build-ups for anyone who'd like to browse thru them. There are no captions, some of the pics are out of order, you'll have to guess what I was trying to accomplish... But hey, you never know what you'll find! Enjoy... I'll be glad to answer any questions you may have. http://public.fotki.com/ModelCarGuy2003/buildup-photos/
  18. So true! Paint job looks good so far.
  19. Very cool! great striping, too.
  20. It was me this time... Kinda like a tag team! You get the next shot at him! Go, Peterson, go!!
  21. Cool project. I've got a SCOT blower on order for my current project. Thats a great looking piece from Norm.
  22. Great Job! I always thought was one of the nicest looking race cars.
  23. Looks great, love the retro look.
  24. Its a great idea for a paint booth, but it looks really uncomfortable. You'll have to tell us how it feels to use it.
  25. Lookin' Good, Peterson! Any chance you'll finish before the new year? (so you can devote all of 2007 to a T-bolt!)
