  1. Very Nicely Done! Your paint detailing really makes it pop.
  2. Kinda like "Spy vs. Spy"... neither of them ever won, either!
  3. A very sad day for the model community. Ricky will be missed. I've had the pleasure of meeting him twice, and he was always such an enthusiastic character to talk to. Ricky reveled in the hobby, both in his work and his appreciation of others! R.I.P.
  4. Lookin' Good! Something in Panther Pink has been on my list of things to do for a long time, maybe this will inspire me! :?
  5. Yeah, Superglue and epoxy don't mind what surface they bond to. Barry, Follow Bills advice and it'll all work out well! He's much better than I am about explaining it (and building it, too!)
  6. For Sale, Huh? I'll give you $20 bucks for it! Nice lookin' build!
  7. I've thought about this also... diorama of a guy grinding away on metal. The best way I can think of is to have a big bundle of very fine, shiny craft wire, fanned out, cut to random lengths and shot with tamiya clear red/clear orange. Glue the bundled end near the grinder and you might have something that looks ok.
  8. Beautiful graphics!
  9. I've used Scale Coat II to remove Tamiya Smoke from glass... no problem. Just be careful if you have to scrub it, it might soften a little and pick up scratches. Your lightbars are Styrene, right? All bets are off if they are resin cast, at least using scale coat. You might want to test some clear sprue by painting and stripping it..
  10. The 1/64 Nova could be a kids pedal car! Neat idea, I started one like it, just never finished...
  11. I'm not a big AWB fan, but this one could make me change my mind! Nicely done!
  12. Sweet work, as usual! That color scheme really makes the Mustang look BadA$$!
  13. Berry nice! Isn't it a thrill when you get the "accidental" good paint job? My best paint tends to be test shots on junker bodies! :?
  14. Thats coming along very nicely, especially considering what you started with! I concur... White interior w/ blue piping, blue carpet... Can't beat that color scheme.
  15. I wouldn't think there's enough thickness to the chrome to drill it for pins. Plus, you'd have to drill both body and trim at the same time to keep alignment. I'd be more inclined to carefully superglue the chrome in place. Depending on the amount of bow, you can probably bend it back into shape enough to get it glued down. I haven't even looked at a 1/12 scale kit in years, so I'm probably not the best source of info for this.
  16. Tamiya Dark Blue Mettalic. Its the darkest blue I've been able to find.
  17. Scale Coat II paint remover, available in most hobby shops (usually in the train section). It strips paint in ten minutes and it works on every type of paint. Yes, its caustic and you need protection, but its not as bad as some products I've tried. You can keep it in a sealed tupperware container and it will last forever, replacing only what gets washed away as you're cleaning models. Its the only stripper I use anymore. It will wreak havoc on resin unless you're very careful about time.
  18. Very nice design, somewhat like Foose did to the SpeedBird. Thats a great looking build.
  19. Very nice work! Understated interior, indeed! Yeah, some tuners go too far, (and we laugh) but they are whats hot right now. You captured the look on both perfectly!

    Impalation!

Thats a nice build, Sweet and Simple!
  21. Very, Very Cool Design! Let me guess... The rear fender is an aircraft canopy? Great colors, also, keeping it very minimalist.
  22. Lookin' Good! That white interior goes well with the body color.
  23. Very nice... Great color scheme.
