    66 Volkswagon

    Very nicely done!
  4. Who says you can't buy Patina! Thats a very cool build, especially using the red primer for some replaced panels. If I ever found a built up like that, I'd try it also.
  5. That really pops! Nice color.

    Camino

Sweet and Simple... Just the way I like 'em!
  7. Mmmm Mmmm Good! You never dissapoint when it comes to building Hot Rods! You're gonna have to re-register that for NY... Or send it to me since its already got California plates!
  8. Nice looking rods, I'm sure they'll bne stunning when you finish them. Watch out, your, daughter will be showing you up soon! (and making you build shelves for her models and trophies!)
  9. Mine too... But I think its just to make everyone else look better! Seriously, you'll never attend a more fun model event. Its a jam packed four days of model overload!
  10. Hey, I saw that at NNL West, didn't I? Very cool custom!
  11. She's nice! You should be proud of it, its a beautiful build.
  12. Very Cool, you'd definitely get noticed on a sunny day!
  13. What all these guys say about Tamiya lacquer is true... its great stuff! Testors lacquer are good, especially if you're looking for factory stock colors. I find Testors to be thicker, though (see below) My experience with Tamiya and Testors together... Testors over Tamiya works for me. I tend to use a lot of Tamiya lacquers because I like their colors. I also LOVE their primers. But... I don't like Tamiya clear, as I find its too thin for my heavy handed polishing. Testors clear lacquer is a little thicker, goes over Tamiya nicely, and has some room to polish. I've had several different reactions to Tamiya clear over Testors, though, none of them good.
  14. Mike Boyle is right, some vendors can take a while. Arrowhead is one of them, but they do produce some great products. There are a number of pre-wireds available, but you'll have to do an online search (I lost my bookmarks a while back, otherwise I'd list them for you)
  15. As a beginner with wiring, you can save yourself some trouble by finding a pre-wired distributor. Here's one source for them... http://arrowheadaluminum.homestead.com/Distributors.html
  16. Yep, theres a lot of stuff cheaper elsewhere... Craft stores... beads, hose and wire, etc... The makeup dept... tools! clippers, files and emory boards, putty spatulas, brushes... Just take your wife/GF so you don't look like a wierdo! Big Box stores... auto depts usually have cheaper paints and fillers... plastic bins, tons of other things if you look around. Yardage stores... cloth, glues, thread... Radio shack type stores... wire, coax, resistors... Theres a ton of stuff out there if you have the time to look for it!
  17. Lookin' Good! Such a sweet little blvd. cruiser!
  18. Nice stuff! That 71 Charger is a pretty intense color combo!
  19. George, We have a guy who probably took 700-800 pics... We're trying to get his stuff online. I'll post it when its up.
  20. A top and a bottom... No middle! just a chassis plate detail and flat engine bay detail... kinda sad shortcut.
  21. I'm not a race builder... But thats some pretty nice work!
  22. That first make me think.... Hmmm, Thats not a 57! (maybe its a 57 bike? I wouldn't know!) The Chevy looks great! Thats a great color for that car, and your fender mods came out nice, as seen by the glossy paint.
  23. I don't think you need any tips... Looks pretty good so far! Excellent color for that car.
  24. That would look pretty cool with some of the old school flames, from early kits. The middle set is from the old Green hornet kit, the re-issue is probably still available on places like ebay. The other sets are of unknown origon. I'd be willing to make a trade if anything interest you.
  25. I was just looking (and reading) closer and realized what you did with the door handles on the Caddy. That is a very nice bit of paint detailing. So much so that I thought you had ground it out... The Charger is a black and clear decal, I presume?
