The hood is a separate piece, but is is glued down tight on mine. I bought a hood just in car I have to break it to remove it. I hope to get the hood out without breaking it, as it is a nice piece.

I have one of those myself for a future build. I would love to see how you get the hood out of it.

Excellent work Dominik.

We never thought about the GTX scripts for the quarter panels on the 68. The 69 Sport Satellite script for the front fender could be done as a chrome adhesive backed transfer, along with the key lock bezels, the side marker lamps on the 68, and the pentastar for the right front fender. A good idea would be to add one extra of each as a lot of us are half blind and ham handed.

I placed my order for those parts today. I cannot wait for the 68 gtx rear treatment. While you're at it Rico, how about a proper flat hood for the AMT 68 Road Runner/69 GTX for a Sport Satellite Variant, as well as scripts for the Sport Satellite.

Nice work. Those are pretty good kits.

I saw the shows where this car was used. Interesting.

I got you beat bill. Can you believe that I have been at it for 55 yrs.? Never stopped either. I'm in a drought this year, as I didn't finish anything.

1974 Corvette Resto------Update! 12/31/18
Ron Hamilton replied to MrObsessive's topic in WIP: Model Cars
We loved these cars when they were new. I recently picked up a decent MPC 69 coupe to restore. I also have several Revell 69s also, but I like the MPC 69 due to the suspension.. I'll be following this one, as I have several unbuilt Revell, MPC and AMT sharks I can work with. I want to do a Phase lll GT in the future too. I'll use a Revell 69 for the base kit on that one. -

No. Go to Ollies. You can get it for $9.99 plus tax. That's how I got my 2nd one.

I did. I couldn't resist. I bought it for those beautiful blue streaks, which I am going to use on a 65 Barracuda Restoration.

AIR-TRAX pricing list 2018
Ron Hamilton replied to MrObsessive's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I have several Air-Trac Resin products, and I am quite impressed. I started on the 82 Dodge Mirada and the 78 Cordoba. I have to decide on the exterior and interior colors. I may have to bite the bullet for one of those 69 Chrysler 300 4 door hardtops. I have the two door, and it is quite nice. The 73 Riviera is much nicer than the All American 71 I have. The 70 Marauder is quite nice too. -
Very nice horses.

Beautiful!

I have an Air Trax Resin 69 300 in my stash waiting to be built. Very nice k it. Your build looks great so far. I'll get around to mine one of these days. Thanks for posting yours. It's quite the inspiration.

66 Chevelle Station Wagon done stock(interior update 1/12/18)
Ron Hamilton replied to 66belair's topic in WIP: Model Cars
That's the engine I used on my wagon. Also, I picked up the Model Car Garage 66 Chevelle Photoetch set. It gives you all the emblems needed to do the car. You should get some plastic tubing to mate the manifolds to the exhaust pipes.- 38 replies

1/25 AMT '72 Pontiac Ventura II Sprint
Ron Hamilton replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I had that kit as a teenager, wishing it was a Nova, as we were Chevy fanatics in my neighborhood. I wish I had it back. However, I was able to purchase a resin Transkit several years ago. One of these days. -
Butch Leal 1965 Plymouth Question
Ron Hamilton replied to jjsipes's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
It looks to me like 1965 Mustang Poppy Red. A red orange shade. -
You know I love it!

Looks good. Nice execution. I hope that mine looks as good.

I plan to do a 69 GTO from this kit. I have a resin 69 GTO interior, and a bunch of cheap 72 GTO kits for everything else. The hardest part will be removing the hood, but I have done that before.
-
Nice build. I built one a long time ago, using a 69 442 chassis. It's in need of a little T.L.C., which it's going to get eventually.

Revell made a kit of the Escalade EXT. Maybe a ESV can be made using the rear roof section from the Escalade kit, some plastic rod and some clear styrene for the side Windows.
