  1. Slick!!!!!!
  2. I was quite lucky, as I bought most of my JoHans in the 80's and 90's while they were cheap, and I had money. I have several flat box kits. I did buy some that were built before, but restorable, but most were un built, and in white styrene for the most part.. Joe, I like your use of the Revell Charger Chassis under the Johan Fury.
  3. GO get 'em George. I have an original annual 63 glue bomb with the revolving headlights to fix up one day.
  4. Steve. Paul Hettick is correct about the dog dish caps. I bought a set several years ago from The Modelhaus. Where they are, I do not have a clue, but I have some great news for you. The AMT "Lawman" '64 Plymouth Belvidere has a set of the Hubcaps you need. Those hubcaps are not available elsewhere. The other variations of the Lindberg/AMT '64 Belvidere does not have those caps. RC2 had them tooled for this kit, along with a set of steelies and some 5-spoke mags. As far as I know, they are no where else. I am going to use mine on a Resin '64 Savoy Wagon Tow car project.
  5. Ismael, you are doing an admirable job of turning a Sow's ear into a silk purse.
  6. I have enough model cars for 4 lifetimes. That being written, I'll pass.
  7. I really like that one. I have to finish mine.
  8. Very Nice. I would like to build one of those myself.
  9. YeeHA! My pictures are back!
  10. Good Luck. I love Rivieras, as I have all of the inscale AMTs except for the 67, which I sold off a couple of years ago. I have an All American Resin '71, which has not cooperated in the least, but I have not given up on it, and an Air Trax '73, which looks to be very nice.
  11. Yes I plan to. That multi piece body went together ok, but that trunk lid bothers me to no end. I plan to add an inner lip with weatherstrip, tweak the roof for a better fit, and fashion a hidden hinge. As old as that kit is, it is not too bad otherwise. Not as nice as today's tooling, but a lot better than I otherwise thought. Now I have to find it. I bought another one in case I cannot find it. Now I may buy a Motor City Resin Ranchero, and a Jimmy Flintstone Country Squire.
  12. I like what you are doing with this one so far Bill. I love the color combination I bought a few f those kits to do several versions of this truck, including my one to one daily driver, which is a dead ringer for the one on the replica stock box, except that mine is a 2002 with 4 doors, which is the last year of this body style. I built one of the stockers in black, where I lowered the suspension, and put a set of 22" wires on it.
  13. You lucky dog! I have a 59 too, which I believe was an annual in that it was moulded in a creamy white styrene that matches the other ones I have from this period. I am considering turning it into a 4 door hardtop, as my uncle had one in Black, with the red interior. It will bookend well with my Revell Skyliner, that I am correcting the trunk lid on.
  14. I have bought just one Revell kit since the announcement, a 66 Suburban, and I paid less for this one than the other one I purchased. I plan to get a Jimmy Flintstone Panel Delivery body. I tried to get one last weekend, but the price was ridiculous, so I'll either wait, or do it myself. I have all I want except for the 69 Boss 302, and I am not going to buy that one site unseen.
  15. I really like that one. I built the convertible as a tribute to Daddy's car. I have both a Trumpeter and AMT hardtop in my collection to be built.
  16. I am working on a 62 Falcon right now. They are rather scarce. I found mine on Ebay earlier this year, and no, it is not for sale. You have a nice one to one.
  17. You are absolutely right about the engine. I will use that engine, and combine it with the C6 from the Cougar.
  18. I say there ol' bean. Jolly good build there. The queen would be proud.
  19. Wow!!!!!
  20. Remember the Monogram GTO is 1/24 Scale, while the Chevelle is 1/25 so the comparisons are not exact. I am going to use my AMT 65 Malibu SS and 64 Olds 442 as guides to correct the Revell 65, which I have yet to build as a Hardtop. The first one I built was a convertible conversion, using the boot from the AMT 65 GTO and homemade dog legs. Richard is right about the side window profile lacking the graceful curve at the top. The Revell 65 Chevelle Z16 is a nice kit, which I bought several. The car has a special significance to me as a 65 Chevelle was the first car I bought with my own money. I was in college and couldn't finish it, and had to sell it off. I am going to build a model of the car I actually wanted it to be if I had the time or the funds.
  21. The more I see, the more I like.
  22. My aunt had a 76 Torino in that color combination back in 76 with the exception that hers had a vinyl roof. I plan to do my 76 Torino as a Sport. I have to craft an interior for it. Hard to do, but not impossible.
