  1. The model in question is a high quality build, and probably worth the money to the person who purchased it. I cannot afford it, so I will build my own.
  2. Can I get that 67 Fairlane grille from you?
  3. I got an unbuilt '64 Plymouth Belvedere "Lawman" Kit, and a lightly glue-bombed '77 Dodge Monaco Coupe "Force 440".
  4. Ron and Dominik, I love your builds of this kit. I just bought a "Force 440" Dodge Monaco today from one of my favorite guys I but models from. It was a little glue-bombed, but unpainted, and 99% of the Police goodies are in it. It came apart easily, and aside from filling the holes for the roof light bar, and side whip antenna, it cleaned up well. I have to get a hood and some glass, but that is not a problem. I have 3 of the 4-doors, T.J Hooker Car, A Joker/Goon Car, and a Dukes of Hazard Car, and a extra partial 4 door I bought The county where I live (Prince George's County, MD) used these cars for patrol vehicles, and I intend to build one of them as such, as well as Hunter's Green Sedan, as well as a either a CHP or Los Angeles Police Cruiser. This kit as been a grail of mine for years, and I plan to build it as a civilian car, as it is bizarrely equipped to be a Police Cruiser as kitted. A friend of mine was going to purchase a one to one in 1978 in black, with a gold landau roof, and gold interior. I happen to like that combo, or else I can do it as an undercover car. I may do it up like I did my '73 Road Runner, using the detailed chassis and running gear from the excellent AMT '71 Dodge Charger R/T. I am doing my research on how the car is going to be detailed for my build.
  5. Right now it is a total mess. I started to rework it, but ran into a brick wall. Buying the Air Trax 73 is a great help in my quest, as it is quite well done, and is based on that 71. Personally, I like the 71 better, as it is the original design of the car. I know what I want to do to it, and I am gathering parts for it.
  6. Yes it is a 73, but it is very nice! I have an original All American Resin 71, and the Air Trax 73 is head and shoulders above it.
  7. I think one of the best engine set ups is the 440 out of the AMT '71 Charger R/T. It has power steering and a/c, as well as the hoses. For a mid to late 60's application, the air cleaner needs to be swapped out for a Jo Han Chrysler Air Cleaner. I have an Air Trax Resin 69 Chrysler 300 Hardtop in the queue, and that is what I am going to put into that particular build when I get to it. I have it planned out. Yes, I like Chryslers, Plymouths and Dodges of the '60's. I have a bunch to build before I can't anymore.
  8. The Lindberg 426 Engine will work on this application. If you can get a Johan 66-68 Chrysler 300 Air Cleaner, and remove the lettering on the top of the pan, chrome the valve covers and the air cleaner, and paint the engine block, heads, intake and water pump turquoise, you are golden. that is what I am going to install in my '65 Sport Fury convertible.
  9. Fortunately for me, I was able to buy all of the JoHan kits I ever wanted. One promo has eluded me, and that is the 1967 Chrysler Imperial Crown Coupe.
  10. Looks good to me!
  11. The accurate caps for the 67 Police Spec are rally wheels without trim rings or centers from the AMT 70 Corvette LT1, and most MOC 70's corvettes, with a set of Parts by parks baby moons, with a set of photoetch bow ties in a circular emblem from one of the MCG '65 Chevrolet sets.
  12. I have built both kits, as well as the 1/24 Monogram. and each of them has its advantages. The roof is just too round and the side rear window is also too rounded and a little short. However, the average modeler does not want to do wholesale modifications on the side sculpture on the AMT kit. I am currently doing a Red Alert car, using the 70 AMT kit, and I am doing a lot of work to the body to make it as accurate as possible. It is stalled for now, as I want to build a more accurate engine. I built the Revell in a couple of hours as a slump buster, and really enjoyed it other than the peel and stick decals. I only wish it was a full detail kit with an engine. I would fix the roof in a minute on that one. I may just disassemble the one I have, open it up, and fix the roof. I have engines and chassis that would work.
  13. I like what you are doing. Are you going to do the privacy rear window and vinyl roof on the limo? I like what I see in all of the builds.
  14. Looks good to me. That is what I want to do with mine.
  15. I just saw my un-built one on the basement. It seems to be a very nice kit. I want to build it, but I am undecided on the color combination. I am looking forward to seeing your build.
  16. you can't go wrong with Missing Link resin parts.
  17. Excellent. I would love to have a 68 Hurst Olds. One Day.
  18. name branded white wall and lettered tires, steelies, dog dishes, wire and sport wheel covers.
  19. Detail it, and finish it. You have a lot of Mustangs Rex.
  20. I have the same resin kit in my collection, and I can say without hesitation, you did an absolutely marvelous job on it.
  21. Lookin' goooooood!
  22. Those are gorgeous cars, and that is one nice kit.
  23. You might want to contact Model Car World Resin for a hood and front grille and bumper. I know they do A trans kit without plated parts. A 65 Chevelle wagon can get you similar tail lamps if you cannot get the originals. Of course there are the used parts vendors on EBay. Too bad The Modelhaus has stopped taking orders.
  24. I do not blame you for the color change. I lusted after my uncle's 72 Ranchero 500, which was also Ivy Green. I was pretty angry with him when he traded it for a Ranger PU.
