  1. I have one of those myself. I am not sure about the direction I want to take with it. Showroom stock, custom, or rodded. I'm going with Crown Sapphire and White as the color combo, as I think it is stunning.
  2. Mine will have a hopped up 289. It will be a " streetable" gasser.
  3. Recently, I saw a dilapidated, but restorable 63 Falcon Sprint Convertible. It was red with a red interior. It was beat to hell. I did not go on the property to look closer, but it looked like it was close to being a complete car. I will probably build my 63 convertible as that car in better days. I have a good selection of rebuildable Falcons to do. My sedans and convertible are old, restored and ready for primer and paint, while my Rancheros are unbuilt. I like Falcons too, and J.C.'s build reminds me of a fellow I worked with as a teenager who hot rodded a 61 Falcon. He radiused the rear wheelwells, and installed a hot 289. I cannot see myself putting a Chevy engine in a classic Ranchero. I have a resin 170 6 for my replica stock Ranchero build.
  4. For me? You shouldn't have. It's gorgeous! I love it!
  5. I am really enjoying this build, as I finally scored a 62 to do up stock. I plan to do all of the 1st gen Falcons in Scale. I may do a Ranchero as a gasser, as I have 3 of them, including an original Styline kit.
  6. I really like 57 Ford's.I have yet to build a replica stock one, even though I have several kits.
  7. I have one of the "Branding Iron" '82's I want to re-build. I had an '81 Royal Knight for a demonstator, and really liked that one. Maybe we can get Ray to scale down the 1/24 Scale decals to a set of 1/25. I want to do mine as a burgundy Royal Knight, like what is in the photo.
  8. That version had the K-H "Stripper" mag wheels in it. That is the one I used when I did my S55 Convertible . Pretty nice kit. I still have a Countdown Series kit, but I like the look of that custom merc on the box top of the latest kit.
  9. I have one of the old All American Resin '57 Ford Country Squires in my collection to build. It is based off of the old Revell Multi Piece body tools, but had been masterfully turned into a one piece body with a separate hood. I have had it a long time, and it is very accurate, and compares favorably with the latest Revell '57 Ford Del Rio wagons. I plan to build both of them at the same time, probably in the same color combination.
  10. Very Nice!!!!!! I love the color!
  11. They caught up to me.
  12. I'm just glad that they walked away from the carnage. No matter what our opinions are, NASCAR is driven by what the fans want to see.
  13. That is what I was going to write. Also, the AMT 70 camaro will work with most other 70's Camaros and Firebirds, and the 69 Olds 442 will work under the 68 through 72 MPC and AMT GM "A" bodies.
  14. I am fooling around with a 66 Imperial convertible as I write this. I want to bookend it with my 66 Cadillac, and 66 Lincoln Continental convertible conversion. I may paint all three the same color, like what I did with my 66 Ford, Chevy, and Dodge convertibles.
  15. I enjoyed it I feel that if you're going to block, your car had better be faster than the one behind you. The drivers are taught not to take no prisoners, drive aggressively, and win at all costs. Period.
  16. Gorgeous!
  17. Years ago, I bought a Monogram 57 Chevy snapper moulded in black. I polished it out, Bare Metaled it, and detail painted it. It looked great. People asked me if I painted it, and I told them what I did. I sold it for some crazy money that someone offered me for it. I told them what I did before they offered me the money, and they did not care. I bought another one to do the same thing to as a slump buster. The Polar Lights prepainted Pontiac GTO's I have came out great too. I did a black convertible, and a turquoise hardtop. I have a saddle tan hardtop to do. I love that 61 Steve.
  18. I did this one from an old Hubley Glue-bomb. and I made my own 67 Concours Estate Wagon from a Revell 66 and 67 Chevelle. and I have to decide on the color of this one.
  19. my, my, my!
  20. Hi Gary! I loved that model then, and I love it now!
  21. I turned the Revell 66 Chevelle wagon into a stocker. I patterned this one after the car in the brochure, using the transkit from Replica's and Miniatures Co. of MD, Model Car World Aztec Copper Paint, and Model Car Garage Photoetch.
  22. I'll try it. As you can see, I have gotten further with this one since the earlier photo.
