  1. Excellent workmanship, but for me, it would take too long.
  2. Probably not. I had two of those and both had the bad bodies. Fortunately for me Revell replaced them with no problem. I have yet to finish mine. I understand that some off the later issues had the corrected bodies. All of them had vinyl roofs and mouldings. I want mine to be a slick top, so I am going to swap the body with one from a '68, an do a Bullitt car.
  3. Detail Master marketed several different styles of grille mesh in the past. You may want to look them up.
  4. That one looks great. I just picked one of those kits today. One of my cousins had one back in the 70's. I have to do some research on the real one for my build.
  5. Lookin' Good Al. I may see you again next month at the Big Sit.
  6. I saw this one today at the club meeting. I am very impressed. Seeing it made me work some more on the '62. It's all cleaned up now and ready for primer.
  7. I saw one today at our club meeting, and it is very nice.
  8. Classy
  9. Outstanding!
  10. Have you considered the Radirs from the Thunderbolt kit for the rears?
  11. No, the Keith Marks decals is for the Road Runner, and does not have any 3-D effect.
  12. I built one of those back in the '60's from the original kit issue when I was a kid. It was a treasure trove of parts.
  13. I am a fan of NASCAR, even though I have absolutely no interest in building one. I hope that this endeavor is successful.in that the company may branch out into different subject matter that may interest me.
  14. Finally!!!! Absolutely amazing work!!!!
  15. I saw Brain's build, and I concur with Monty's statement about it. One of my S/C Ramblers came with a set of Photoetch emblems and side marker lights. I happen to like the '64 thru '69 Rambler American, as I have several of the kits, and only built one, and have 3 under construction. The S/C Rambler kit is one of those kits that will take a lot of work to get absolutely right , as the raw material is not a true '69 as Tom stated.
  16. The only reason I asked about paint is that 90% of these kits I have seen were moulded In white, and in a lot of cases decals will pull up from the edges. I am sorry to hear that the Firebird decals did not work for you. I do not think that it was your fault, as the ones I used on my '60 Country Squire pulled away at the edges, but I was able to fix them.
  17. I plan to buy two of them based on your review. One as a 442, and the other as a Calais utilizing the Model Car Garage PE set. Thanks!!!
  18. I plan to build a couple of those, and you are right about that kit. It needs a lot of work to get it to look right. I would have removed the door handles and trimmed the decals to make them fit better without resorting to the use of Solva Set. Did you paint the car? An unpainted model will affect the way decals lay on the car in that some residual mould release will stay on the car. There was a Rambler dealership 2 blocks from my elementary school, and they had a few S/C Ramblers from time to time, and I remember them quite well. I want to do both the "A" and "B" schemes, but the decal makers only did the "A" scheme. I have a Fred Cady sheet, and a JoHan sheet for the decals. It will be several years before I do it, as I have a couple of '66 Americans with the 6 Cylinders I want to do first as twins in the same color combination, (Yellow with a Black Interior) one being a Hardtop, and the other being a convertible.
  19. I have an original 1963 Falcon convertible to restore. I have fixed the body, and I am considering the fixes on the interior. I may have to remove the bucket seats from the tub to add detail, and if I do, I plan to copy them in resin for the Pickup project. The resin copy I have represents a '62, but I have two other '63's. One, an original AMT, which I can back date to a 62, and a resin Flareside. On my pickup, I plan to take a couple of liberties, one an FX style dual scooped hood, a set of American Torque Thrusts, with the widened rears with pie-crust cheaters, and red paint, with white inserts in the mouldings. Just a nasty, street driven beast.
  20. I have bought more than one model kit based on your reviews which I enjoy very much. Thank you and keep them coming.
  21. I have some model master paint that is pretty close. That car is stunning. I have the Steelers, dog dishes, and a set of AMT pad printed Polyglas GT Tires to pull it off.
  22. Still needs some refinement. I may be wrong.
