  1. I never have seen one in resin, however the "XXX" version of the MPC '67 GTO has a flat hood. I cannot tell you if it will fit the Revell kit, but a flat hood would not be too difficult to do.
  2. I did not take any pictures, but I went down to my old stompin' grounds today. The traffic is a little dicey, so I did a little alley hunting, and I saw three interesting cars parked in yards behind some nice homes: 1) 1975-78 Mercury Grand Marquis 2 Door Hardtop. Black, with Black Landau Vinyl Roof. Crusty, sun fried, but restorable. Looks as it has not moved in at least 10 years. 2)1973 Plymouth Duster with the Gold Duster Package. Gold with Gold Canopy Vinyl Roof. Crusty, sun fried, but restorable. Looks as it has not moved in at least 15 years. 3) 1963 Ford Falcon Sprint Convertible. Red Car Left to the elements, as the top, and interior is toast. It would take a lot of loot to bring this one back to life, as it needs just about everything but the body, and that needs quite a bit of work and rust repair. If only I had the money, ability and time to bring one of these back. I did not go on to the private property to investigate these gems any further, as I did not want to get my hopes up too high. I have seen worse raw material brought back to life. At least I have a model of the '63 Falcon Convertible and a '73 Plymouth Duster in my collection that I can do.
  3. I have one of those in my collection, waiting to be built. I have an old glue-bomb, that had those scoops, that I thought were cool.
  4. I believe that those scoops were in the original AMT 1964 1/2 Mustang Kit.
  5. I like where you are going with this one, but 6-lug wheels?
  6. I love those cars. I like where you are going with that one.
  7. My 74 is the annual, not the snapper. It's moulded in white styrene. I took it apart and cleaned it up. I have to find an engine for it, but I still have a small block Mopar engine for it, so a rebuild would not be out of the question. I am thinking of Sherwood Green with a Black Vinyl Roof, White Stripes and Interior.
  8. That Toronado is very nice. I have a collection of unbuilt ones myself. If it were mine, if it were not pristine, I would dress it up like Jay Leno's car, but as a replica stock. I may do that to my '66.
  9. I took another look at my MPC annual after I bought a set of full wheel covers, as well as a set of steelies and dog dish caps from Missing Link Resin for the project. It is actually a '74 Barracuda with a flat hood, which is much too nice to cut up. However, it needs a heap of detailing to bring it up to date. However, I hope that we get a trans-kit in resin or a newly tooled '71 Cuda based on the 1/25 scale Revell '70 tool. I do not like the look of the Revell 1/24 Cuda, as it has some suspect proportions here and there.
  10. That looks great Paul!!!!!
  11. That is one nice Comet!
  12. Happy Birthday!!!!!!!

  13. That is nice. You can put any kind of wheel on it, and it will be outstanding. I am leaning towards doing a sedan delivery, mildly rodded with a done up flattie and a nice rake.
  14. As much as I like the 40, I have yet to build one, and I have several variations of the car in kit form.
  15. I have several of them, as I collected the MPC corvettes and mad as a kid. I still have a 68 corvette and mad in 1/20, as well as others in that scale.
  16. Welcome to the board. I like what I see, and I would love to see more. I will be following your work.
  17. I acquired an old built-up with the plastic Tires. It only had three tires and wheels, so I was able to get another set up from Scenes Unlimited Resin, as I liked the slot mags with 8-lugs. Well, I am going in a different direction, as this truck is perfect for what I plan to do. It is in the queue for next year, as it has been planned out, and I have everything I need to get it done.
  18. That looks very nice. I have a built up '6o or '61 Comet in my collection. It is painted Silver, which I intend to strip, and paint bright red. A friend of mine's Dad had one when we were kids.
  19. Good luck with that one.
  20. Of course I read your post, and I agree wholeheartedly with you. When I was a teenager, my dad bought a '68 Country Sedan, which was a very nice car, only lacking the Hideaways and the wood trim that the Country Squire had. I did not state it in my post, but I remember a particular '67 Country Squire with a 428/4-Speed combination that was supposedly not available from the factory, but Lee Iococca signed off on it, and the car was built. I plan to do a '68 LTD 4-Door Hardtop with a 428/4-speed combination, using the Missing Link Resin Transkit as a homage to that car, even though I have seen a couple of such LTD's in Hemmings
  21. It's a shame that The Modelhaus is closing down. I am very patient, so when I see something I need on Ebay, or at a show, I pick it up. For instance, a friend gave me a '68 Coupe de Ville promo, which had broken " A " pillars, cracks along the side and missing Chrome. I have the chrome, now I have to fix the body. I know how I am going to do it. It's Dark Brown, so when I re-paint it, it will have to be a coordinating color, because I like the interior color. The '62 Fleetwood I just got was in very good shape, needing a thorough cleaning, a repair on one of the fin tips, a re-chroming of the bumpers and the wheels, and a set of stock Tail lights. None of the gee-gaws that JoHan put in the kit was put on the model, so that was a definite plus.
