  1. Fantastic Work!!!!
  2. The Monte Carlo and El Camino, had different fender contours and the nose cones were not the same part, even though they looked similar. The Monte Carlo SS was all factory, and the El Camino was aftermarket, and the quality showed. When the El Camino SS was new, The basic vehicle was ordered normally through the GM system, but there was a drop ship code that sent the vehicles to Tenn. to get the SS Conversion. There was not a lot of variations from car to car. Choo Choo customs also sold a conversion kit where El Camino owners could transform their cars into an "SS" , as well as collision replacement parts. I've even seen a few '78-81 Malibu Coupes with the "SS" front end. We were a big dealer, and we did not sell many. They were not too plentiful when they were new.
  3. At least yours has the scripts. The one I re-built a couple of years ago had the custom front and rear treatments glued on. Fortunately, I was able to fix it up to a satisfactory level. Good score!
  4. the 1961 Thunderbird also got the thin whitewalls mid-year.
  5. While it is not 100% perfect, it's pretty BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH good. I have one.
  6. I can't wait!!!!
  7. Dave, I for one, appreciate the effort s put forth by your company, as I have bought most of your company's offerings, including the International, even though I am not a big rig guy, I am happy with the way you are presenting future product, and I am quite sure that they will be satisfactory to me for my modeling purposes. I will be there with cash in hand when the kits are available.
  8. I believe that these kit will be big sellers for Mobieus. Thank you, and I am not bored.
  9. You did a fine job. My aunt had a baby blue '76 Torino with a Blue vinyl roof and interior. I may just do one for her.
  10. That is very Nice. I would love to get a set of those wire wheel covers mouldings and tail lamps.
  11. I like the fact that you are offering these kits in the first place. As I have said before, NO model kit is perfect. I don't mind refining a model kit, as I think it separates the "men from the boys", but some glaring mistakes in proportion, unless necessary for tooling, or economics, is not good. Some comments I see on this board are not important to me, but a lot I see, I agree with. My observation as a customer of several Mobieus kits is, please offer some different sized tires in these kits. The tires in the '65 Cyclone scale out too big. They look good, but they are huge in comparison with the tires on my '64 Comet Caliente. Both cars ran 14" tires when the car was equipped with a V8 engine. I have a couple of suggestions: Get your hands on the AMT kits of a '62-3 Nova, and a '63 Ford Pickup to compare your tool with. While they are ancient, they do a fine job of capturing the subject. If the bodies of the new kits look anywhere as good as the old kits, I'll be singing from the rooftops. I can not wait for these, and thank you!!! By the way, I'll have one or two of the new "61 Catalina kits for my collection when they are available to me.
  12. I wish them luck. Neither the '66 Ford F100 nor the '64 Nova SS has never been kitted, and will be a home run if done right. I suggest that the kit designer consult an expert on those vehicles before releasing them, as a lot of us will not be too forgiving if the execution is poor. From what I see here, quite a bit of "refinement" is in order.
  13. I built a Monogram 1/12 scale '69 Z28 about 30 years ago when I was a bachelor. I remember painting it in my Kitchen, and wet sanding it in my bath tub full of water. I painted it Dark Green, with white stripes, and a Black Interior. When I was a teenager, one of my father's friends had one, and he let me drive it by myself. It was all stock, save for a set of headers. This was in 1975. I built the model as a tribute to that car. It is still on the shelf in all its dusty glory. I also have a 1/12 '57 Chevy that I built a few years before it to match my friend Chuck's car. It's on the shelf next to the Camaro.
  14. I still have my DOH version that I bought only for the box art. I may do it as a Satellite Sebring Plus, as I have the Missing Link Resin Flat Hood and Full wheel covers for it.
  15. This is a very nice build. I had a 1993 Regal GS for a demo. Nice car. Thanks for the memories.
  16. Unfortunately, I do not have the pictures anywhere but Photobucket, and I cannot pay the price they want.
  17. I really like those wheels that car with those wheels. I have a Missing Link Hawk to finish, and those wheels would set it off. Now to get an Avanti/
  18. I have one of the '71 Road Runner Reissues from back in the 80's and a resin '72, which I had planned on combining with a "new Tool" '71 Charger like I did my '73 Road Runner. I happened to really like those cars. It would not surprise me if RC2 decides to bring this one out in the near future.
  19. That is one great build!!!!
  20. I would love to get one of those Falcon Wagon Roofs from you Bill.
  21. I have several AMT Avantis, but I did not buy the latest one. I may have to just for the Halibrands.
  22. That is one handsome truck Dave. Even though I am a Chevy Guy, I can go for one of these as well. Maybe we will get a kit of the new upcoming Dodge Ram. Step on up kit makers. There is a market.
