  1. I'm hungry fo good cheese !!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I dunno, perhaps I'm too senile , old or whatever . The 1st generation Camaro is fine to me . The rest look like giant wedges of cheese , maybe chunks of clay waiting to be finished by artists who know form ..............................
  3. I'm confused Kevin. The grille you probably have has the "Singular " Rectangle headlamps , standard on ALL 1979 Ford trucks regardless of the series . The same grille was used on the Ford's in 1978 also . Now , the difference really comes into play where only the "Ford Custom " series was concerned in 1978. This series was a line devoid of chrome trim anywhere on the truck . These trucks used the Round singular lamps . I own a 78 Ford Custom and I have Shop manuals for most ford trucks going back to 1949 ......................
  4. Isn't amazing how for two years , stylists at generic motas got everything jus right ? Seems you did that Buick "Jus Right " too !

  7. Would somebody allow us to return to a simpler time ???
  8. I see a lot of hand wringing an useless moanin an a groanin on any Jo-han manufactured kit . I well remember this kit too. The inside fenders were a separate item, nicely defined interior and to me , the dimensions were just way too good to be true . You did a great job of bringing this one back and it needs to be displayed prominently ...................
  9. Remember kids , you're hard earned money you pay every month goes to support these shows . They win no matter what ! I'm so glad I canceled Cable and went back to an antenna ...............
  10. I'm a little "lost" here as to ornaments . If one want s to know the pumps at Tom's Indian service station , they were Bowser C-111's . These pumps were around 12 feet tall without a 15inch globe attachment . Two versions were made , a manual and an optional air option allowing air to be pumped into the underground tank where the gasoline then traveled to the glass cylinder . the attendant than sold the gasoline in the desired amount via gravity . The standard manual simply used a dual action siphon pump to draw fuel up through a delivery pipe into a 10 gallon cylinder . I'm not aware of any other cylinders ever used on this model . Bowser did manufacture some Dual 10 gallon models and a few five gallon models . If anyone here needs specific information to any vintage gasoline pump or company history, please send me a P- M . I also have original literature and repair manuals for some models too.
  11. Thanks Charlie ! I well remember a Maroon Tucker here that belonged to a local collector in the middle 1960's . I only wish that car had survived as from my research, that car really was a decent performer and would have dented Generic Motas really bad !
  12. Mike , I already trade out my services to a select few . Erik, I have been in Hemming's Motor news for years . I seldom have problems there . Hemming's is generally read by a lot of the people who have been in this business for years . You also can find me on the H A M B , an antique car board and Still Runnin.com E -Bay.................. NEVER AGAIN ! KRAK LIST............. yeah been burned ever time I did business there !
  13. Weelllll, I guess I'm a curmudgeon , a cheep skate , a hold out . I pay no subscription fees, or other fees on the net . I'll go elsewhere fore I do too !!!!!!!!!!!!! E Bay, not from me kids !
  14. I'll put a couple of light bulbs out on the front porch, just to appease my neighbors whom I despise in the second week of December . MAYBE, by the 12th, I might slog to a Christmas Tree lot . I usually don't bother doing a tree until the 18th . Ill send a few select few here on of my PERSONALIZED Christmas cards. You have to be SOMEBODY to get one of my cards .............
  15. N E V E R E V E R !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! E- Bay earned it's name . Because of their inept call takers , because of their way of doing business , because of their deceitfulness, I REFUSE to ever do business with them ever again. My professional reputation was RUINED by them, NEVER NEVER NEVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Uh sorry to rain in on de parade , what you have is a SEDAN Delivery ! Panel deliveries are made from Pick Up trucks . I even own one if you want to see the difference sometime .
  17. Dan, how long did you're dad's wrecker stay that clean and scratch free? My 79 Ford E-350 with a Holmes 500 crane was never that nice . Shoot, I was too busy runnin AAA Virginia motor club to wash it very often .
  18. One of the updates that this board has now prevents me from pictures here too. I gave up . I figure if people want to see my work, they have two choices , see me at a show or meet me on one of the other forums I belong to .
  19. Years back, 1992, I had driven my 1953 Ford panel truck from Dallas Texas to Richmond Virginia . That's 1,266 miles , three days and some nice scenery inbetween. I stop at a 7-11 to ask for directions as to a Ford Picnic show here . Some jerk wheels in in his Pep Boys 4dr with a bad stereo an say, Hey, when ya gonna start fixin dat up" . I gave him a sneer and said uh I'm too busy trying to find places to stop and strip out all of the running gear , an left
  20. Yes, place emphasis on the "Main stream Ford products part ". Lincoln is supposed to represent a higher achievement than some dressed up Ford , course too, that's kind of what Mercury started and now , I dunno .................
  21. Jon, po James is geographically challenged . he got on the Gulf freeway thinking it was going to take him to the secret fishin hole off east Beach in Galveston . problem is , the sun got in hiss eyes and he landed up here , ( GASP ) in da lan dat time forgot , the Revolutionary was still goes on an on and NO MORE LOOP 610 ! 24. With the exception of only a couple of squirrels that both George 53 an I know , oh Disabled Modeler knows em too, I've done well. If it's something small and it's something that dosent cost more than 2.00 to mail it , heck, I'll send stuff out for free, you ask around , theres people here who know I try and help everybody . I see a lot of the Newer guys here wanting "Pie in da Sky deals " . Hey , you might win a few hard to find deals , kits etc, you'll get nothing from me when all you want to put up is some common kit that's easy to find , even at the next show .................
