Hey folks , Art called me on the phone yesterday . I know what projects he an Dave Metzger are involved in but I'm sworn to secrecy. I can tell you two previous posts are near correct . Art was really interested in wither I'll show at Maryland NNL . I'm working hard to make that a reality in 2014 . The decision is wither to bring the Shell shaped Shell station or the brand new Zep Diner . If you're on Faceless Book, you have seen the Zeppelin .

Is Gorilla Super glue the sames as CA?
Eshaver replied to Len Woodruff's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Gorilla is really a product name . Yes, Gorilla makes a CA glue . In addition, they also manufacture a Urethane type of water proof adhesive . Now to clarify, their C A actually specifies so on the label . -
It hasn't made any difference to me yet ..................

Car manufacturers bailing out of Oz...
Eshaver replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The E U is in real finical trouble . I'm also told that Finland and several other Scandinavian countries are also in trouble as well. My financial people in England gave me this in an e-mail just this morning . Oh Ben Burnakee will also be giving a report on our own finances probably Thursday . I can already see wall Street numbers headed SOUTH ! -
I'm surprised none of the resin casters has ever stepped to the plate and offered the A M T versions of their "Compact" tire . Lucky for me , I know someone fairly close who I can buy sets of these off of as he sells parts .

Hobby Shops... Are They Viable Today?
Eshaver replied to Tom Geiger's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Tom, our last "Real " shop closed on account of the remaining owner simply wanting to retire . he was on par price wise and wasn't afraid to special order items he didn't ordinarily carry. The place seemed to have all the latest kit issues and was on top of Lionel trains too. Granted , he was wise in leaving the R C crowd alone as there is a "Stand alone R C store which calls itself a Hobby shop here and a Hobby Town which I reserve judgment over today . -

3D printing growing as we speak
Eshaver replied to bbowser's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
This is only useful to members here that are around the Richmond Virginia area . I got an e-mail from a local television reporter that a tattoo shop in the "Short Pump area is now offering to do 3-D printing and that INCLUDES MODELS AND Parts . I'll be contacting this shop in a few days as I'll be doing a report for a magazine I now write for . -
Testing a bad engine computer, and its symptoms?
Eshaver replied to charlie8575's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Charlie , Usually a G M product such as you're will provide a trouble code . Of course you have to have a diagnostic OBD instrument to get a code out . Now , if a G M car is an OBD II system, 1991 and newer, it even gives a lot more specific information that my ANTIQUE 1987 Oldsmobile will not . I found I had a Crank Position sensor bad and a bad coil pack even though the computers used then will not provide such information . I'm sharing this because many of the symptoms you are experiencing, I had too. Oh, the Oldsmobile I have is seldom driven . I only have 78,000 from the time it was new . Now if you really want to just do a "Back Yard " test , as it's been mentioned , first dis connect the Ground on the battery and wait five minutes . If you're still experiencing the same symptoms , I have actually gone to a Pull you're own part yard and bought a "Like " computer from a similarly equipped car . Yes, a used computer will run a car that is not necessarily equipped just the same way . Chrysler on the other hand ............... Hummmmmmmm, don't get me started on anything Chrysler anymore ! -
I jus had a 1933 roadster that I finished for a customer in the shop last summer . You're model brings back fond memories !

Fine job young man, I DON'T CARE WHAT THE NEIGHBORS SAY ! -
Tom, the reason I got away from any kind of a "lacquer type " putty was on account of shrinkage over time . Even on my 1-1 work, I am now seeing imperfections on a Raven Black, ( Ford ) paint job I did back in the late 80's . Yeah, while that may seem like an eternity to many , painting a panel truck requires at least two gallons of paint minimum . Anyone want to go price decent automobile paint lately ???

Steve, aka Ole nasty has the idea . Shoot, I bet I get a half dozen of these come on promotions a week from credit card companies , AARP, and insurance companies . I wouldn't do business with any of em. Still, I'll take their "Toy " credit cards to make bondo spreaders with !!!!!!!!!!!

I'd say ya done yer homework on this one . I worked on several of these and yes , they rusted and cracked up jus where you have you're model, fine job !

Eshaver replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Here in Virginia , theft of electric power is a felony , punishable by two years and two thousand -
