  1. O K , here's one , the GM L sabre , made by Palmer plastics in New York.
  2. If I had a buck and a half , yeah, I'd buy it and yes, I'd build it too ! Of course I'm old enough to remember this kit along with the art work . I'm olderen dirt !
  3. The Trumpiter Pontiac Bonneville Hardtop, IMC/ Union/ Testors Ford GT 40, A M T 58 Plymouth , Aurora Studebaker Avanti , A M T's 1960 Chevrolet Apache truck , ( NOT THE ANNUAL ) . I could mention others , but these rank as the most disappointing ................
  4. I'd be interested in knowing if the Astro could be made out of this nightmare as well .
  5. For the model builders with Obsessive compulsive disorder perhaps ?
  6. At one time , wider fenders were being manufactured for the 53-79 Ford Stepsides . Sure , you can slice an dice the frame rails to keep stock width fenders too. The reason I know about the fenders is one , I used to sell antique Ford parts in Dallas , I own a 53 Ford panel myself along with a 78 Step side . I prefer keeping the 78 all original and the 53 stock .
  7. I've been in this hobby since 1960 . Sorry , but there are no winners in this game . Closest you will find are kits that go together in a reasonable fashion . For that , ALL the manufactures have a few that stand proud .
  8. Actually, the side reinforcement came on the 77 and newer Chevrolet vans Less known was a cargo door modification too. 1978 brought both a re designed dash board and tail lamps in addition to a grille that was overall bulkier . I was manufacturing van accessories at the time and the dash re design threw us off until we could get caught up .
  9. I got into this hobby to build models of cars I liked . I still do to this day . Yes, I have many waiting to be built . The reason for me ever hoarding them is that all my models eventually wind up in dioramas I do .
  10. James , I can see you haven't lost yer touch !
  11. I'm digging the Volks wagon. The photography caught my eye !
  12. Two dioramas . Yep, one , a 1-24th scale model of Randy's Donuts , minus the finished out do nut . The other is a 1920 Marland Oil station . It's figures in a notebook, photographs and a copy of a 1919 building permit ...................
  13. The Tan was seldom seen until the Early V-8's in 1932 , nice work .
  14. I'm an exhibit builder by trade . In addition , I also am a Freelance writer so in my travels , I pursue my love of greasy spoon diners and old service stations . Shown here is the former Quality Oil #5 that was restored by private funding in Winston Salem North Carolina
  15. The only Ford to have Siamese middle exhaust was the Flat head V-8 . That's a Chevrolet .
  16. I guess the 56 Eldorado. I used to maintain one for a friend . he got tired of the 2 X 4 set up , said it used too much gasoline . I switched it over to a Cadillac with a standard Rochester 4-CG on it .
  17. From my vantage point, stunning work !
  18. Chuck, I have had my best luck lately with Mozilla . Google is usually O K . IE, it hasn't liked any forum I'm on for awhile ...............
  19. The few kits I buy now , I'll pull the wrap, look to see if I have a whole kit , close the box , put it in storage and think for six months as to how to build it if then .................
  20. Any modeler , model company here who wants to talk to me about advertising in an "On Line " magazine that is trying to go print, please P-M me as I am capable of speaking on behalf of the publisher .
  21. Gee Casey, Finally we have something we can agree upon ...............................
  22. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, to see the 58 Pontiac re issued .................................
  23. The trucks remind me of the late Joe Cavorley's work . I may be wrong ...................
