  1. Kerry, i'll send a healing prayer
  2. Building one out od AMT's 1925 kit is VERY doable
  3. Aurfalien , I use quite a bit of Testors "Metalizer" products . In my experience , the "FINER" you take the plastic , the better finish you will have . In this particular case , I had HOURS of bodywork . This is a 1-24th scale model of the former Zep Diner that was in Hawthorne California . You need to take it to 1200, preferably 1600 . THEN an ONLY THEN can you apply Metalizer over primer .
  4. Nice work !
  5. Art, isn't the 1911 Model what I have been looking at on FB ?
  6. The former Zep diner , 515 West Flower Hawthorne California , circa 1937
  7. Folks , thank you all for sharing the Built car ! I have long wondered as to what it looked like assembled . I have a Los Angles diorama idea in mind . Now I know one of these is very doable !
  8. I use a FREE program known as Libre . This is a wonderful EASY to use program that allows me to take photographs and scale them to size . I like the Bare Metal Foul brand of decal paper and I make my own decals
  9. Stay, finding a Hydra- matic shouldn't be the end of the world . There is a nice one in the AMT 68 Nova , although it's mated to a 454 . I sliced and diced it to a 350 .
  10. Looking over this list , Round 2 it would be HARD PRESSED to re issue lots of the kits I have seen . Astro I, Funny car 1963 Nova wagon - Funny car 1961-2 Buck Special - ROUMORED to have been the basis to make the Nova wagon out of Tognotti T ' ................. 11. I have seen what Tommy has experienced with a lot of Jimmy Flintstone products . You definitely need a STRONG "Degreasing agent such as Simple green, Westley's Bleech White , Castrol Super Clean or something for Tires .
  12. Chip is my bosses best friend . He's a very nice man , but his style just does NOTHING for me ..............................
  13. I have had a 69 F-350 as a wrecker . That beast had a 390 and a HD 4spd 440 Holmes crane . I then bought a 79 Holmes 500 crane . It was the gas hog 400 M . Then fer awhile , I had a 1990 460 gas job, it had a Century Flatbed .
  14. Mighty impressive work there !
  15. Well, for Ford C-6 fans this is good news . All my Ford trucks were manual gear boxes . Only a 78 Ford Van I had once was equipped with the C-6
  16. Ron this sooooooooo reminds me of a 1969 I picked up for a mere 700.00 . I made the mistake of lending to a customer who fell asleep at the wheel, great work !
  17. Too many have "Frail" egos here . I have been asked why I seldom post . The answer is simple . Nearly everything I say is taken out of context . Too many want to "Goad me " into a fight and I have the fact is to back up anything I do post . Besides , I don't have time to post my reasons for why I build old annuals or other such ......................
  18. Cadillac motors 1949 to 1965 were always a Testor's Royal Blue , Gold Air cleaners on the 2 X4 set up otherwise Black . Valve covers on the 49-59 Gold . The newer ones were Blue .
  19. I'm very impressed by the Backgrounds you chose . The natural elements make the building stand out nicely !
  20. The Japanese must have thought a lot of the Desoto Airflow automobile
  21. Sam, you realize such a ride is very H A M B friendly don't you ?
  22. No picture , but the AMT 1961 Ranchero was a cross breed option as it had the top which could have been used with the "Upholstered roof/ roof scoop option or cut down to have allowed a sedan delivery . Remember too, Ford did manufacture a 2dr Falcon wagon and if one wanted , could have made the rest of the interior bucket and a wagon .
  23. Daniel, this is not bad at all! I'm impressed by you're attention to detail.
  24. I'm on Face book all the time . Now I know who the builder is !
