  1. Franklin Mint. I now have at least one of every Mint Lincoln. We have 3 of the 41s... Maroon, dark blue, and the light metallic. And this one. Missing antenna... I'll fix that later. Looks fabulous cleaned up.
  2. I have a post on here somewhere where I took a Jada 63 Caddy and replaced the entire chassis and interior with one from a Mint 59 Caddy so I could have a "normal" looking car. That must be a young people thing???
  3. That is 1/25? It must be huge!
  4. I'm liking yours better than the Maisto version.
  5. I check here first every day, then over to there to see what's happening at Shambles Motors. Quite a place and lots going on. LOL.
  6. Nice improvements. Looks like the owner is in for a day of chrome polishing. Very rewarding to improve a cheap car.
  7. Nice piece. Looks like it is enclosed in an ice cube.
  8. There is a coupe version. Most of them I've seen are red with flames. two variations that I've seen. Napa and Parts Plus or Wix I think. I have a coupe in Todd's stuff that has display accessories. Stanchions, chain, trophy. Just searched on the bay. There is a black one from First gear in 1/25. I think that may be the coupe I have and Todd's is same with different paint. But there is a coupe. And if you need one... hit me up. I'll be glad to hook you up.
  9. Sweet! I've never ridden in, much less driven, a traditional hot rod. May be why I'm still fascinated by them?
  10. And the one I received was still in the factory brown box with what looked to be original tape - never opened. Like seller had a case or something. Engine looks large and a little clunky but only hood top opens. You can see enough detail - a distributor with the molded wire loom. Red air cleaner element (!?). Chassis is mix of plastic and diecast. But it looks like a proper hot rod on the shelf. Makes you want to drive a real one, if only for a little while. Or it does me. And that's really the test for me.
  11. Here's one I got this weekend that o haven't seen before. 1934 Ford Roadster. I bought it thinking it might be better with a repaint, but I decided I like it fine as is for now. I did remove the bulky Nerf bars/bumpers and the Armstrong Air tampo from the deck. And the lovers were silver on the lower valance on rear. The front wheels are just a tad too far rearward. No easy fix with working suspension.
  12. Thanks for the comparison. One looks too low, the other a bit high. Both are nice, workable, and best of all, affordable.
  13. You really made those two kits COUNT though. Such excellent work.

    1937 Ford

Nice! That was always a pleasant kit to assemble. A lot could be done with it. I have the later couple version assembled. My sedan ended up in parts bin. Love the color on yours.
  15. I like it! Will follow to see how it turns out.
  16. Seems like this one wasn't too bad. I think I held one wheel and twisted the other? And I think I had it disassembled. My original plan was to swap wheels and tires but couldn't find anything better that fit right. The wheels are ok, but tires need to be taller and would have been a lot of work to wheels to make them fit tires. I think.
  17. Yes. 1/24. I'm debating on keeping it or selling it. I already have the plastic 71 pace car. Not a lot of them on eBay and prices are all over for them. Let me know if you get to jonesing real bad. Lol
  18. Nice! I like that one a lot. Better that my white one. All I did was redrill the axle holes to make it out just a bit lower and detail the wheels. I think the wheels and tires are undersized as well. I took a photo of it with the GMP 70 that I'm cleaning up to sell. Wonder how many colors are out there? Todd also has a Redbox GTO in blue with weird wheels on it. Not sure where it is right now for comparison.
  19. Here's another one from my buddy's collection. 67 GTX from Malibu International in the Tommy Boy movie box. This is the only version of this one I have ever found. It's a reasonable replica, but could be better. I did detail the wheels.
  20. Here's a nice one. Only thing I was paint the inserts in the wheels with some metallizer steel. From the box it is a weird rust color. I think I accidentally sold the correct up top though. These crown premium cars are really nice. Yes the stripe is a bit off, too. But I think you could take this one too another level work a bit more work. And a set of white letter decals would help too.
  21. Nice work on the HWs. Did you dismantle them to paint? Detailing theses can be quite rewarding.
  22. Looks good. And authentic to that area of race car.
  23. Nice. Your average viewer wouldn't see the differences. Paint it Black.
