  1. I was tempted to post something silly ( like this thing ) ..... but decided not to
  2. Super build, you'd be more than welcome on VDM
  3. It's tragic & ironic that your dad had only rare & ultra rare kits, and all of them are missing pieces - did he pick them up in bulk from a garage sale ? ...... maybe consider donating the parts & starting fresh from the kits guys send you
  4. Nice job, this is just a great dragster, always liked it.
  5. I agree, this is what seperates the boys from the men - keeping your cool & having plenty of patience is the key, my thing is paint.... I love & live for it. Without things going wrong with a paint job, you'll never learn how to do it right the next time, same goes with building a tricky model, like some of the revell kits; you have to test fit everything ahead of time & take your time with each sub-assembly; and most important - if you feel frustration coming on; walk away & come back to it later..... I find the more challenging the kit, the more rewarding in the end.
  6. Hmm.... why not leave it simple - call it " Abortion"
  7. Very nice !! - if you can get a hold of some of the original 57 kit's custom parts; the headlights, front & rear end would look great on this
  8. Same here Steve, I haven't really had any major issues with the stuff, a nice smooth application surface will give better bonding & result in a better finish, because it is so thin ; it will show any bump or flaw - used properly it's a great thing !!
  9. Well, it sure isn't as unique as some other offerings here, but it's different ..... I got this off a friend; Spacemen & Women by Glencoe; their about 4" tall & each comes with a clear helmet - after looking into it a bit, I found out that these were made for a short time & in a few color combos; mine is the first run, bronze & light blue - the original set ( produced in the 40's ) ..... were made by Archer
  10. I agree too, your better off to just cut - put 2 or 3 layers of masking tape across the windshield opening to stabilize the frame... cut the roof with a razor saw, sand as needed & carefully remove the tape.
  11. I'd rather have a roll, than this - at least it would be useful
  12. You know what ? Your right Bob !!! - looking at them in the bottle, they really seemed as though they were solid colors; I'll test them over a couple different bases & see what I come up with ....... are you going to be at the NNL'S ?
  13. Your a real master craftsman Harry, every time you post these in progress builds; it's a true adventure - always enjoyable
  14. I'm digging the look of this Bill - thanks
  15. I'd display him in an "unfortunate accident" diorama scene
  16. Easy, that's the 1/25 hairdryer that comes in it
  17. I wish they'd reissue this, but I guess that would kinda peeve you though
  18. Here's another one posted for my buddy ( who's computer is giving him grief - John White )
  19. I'm posting this one for my buddy ( JOHN WHITE ) - enjoy
  20. I was lucky - I was able to secure a bunch before he disappeared, I guard them with my life ..... I wouldn't sell or trade them ever
  21. I'm still trying to figure out if the Dukes car could jump 200 feet in the air & do the perfect landing, after that I'll wonder if the Bob Hope Golf cart would beat the Batmobile in a drag race
  22. Hey Bob, Persimmon & Scarlet are solids, on your sheet they are in the Kandy section ? ..... anyways, I have all your kandies, ( obtained through a buddy ) - good stuff - thanks
  23. This is all I figured the thing was good for
  24. As long as it's over tile ...... not so good on carpet floors
