Just Great!

Got a bit more done. One exhaust pipe is installed with its muffler. Decided to make my own exhaust tips. The one on the left is my first attempt. Threw some chrome pen on it to see where I'm at. Needs a bit more work but overall not too bad. The one on the right is what I started with- just need to sand away everything that doesn't look like an exhaust tip!

I think your grape has aged into a fine wine! Beautiful build of a traditional custom!

Chassis is almost done- now to start on the dual exhausts! Began painting the mufflers- need to drill holes for attachment pins for the rest of the system.

Pix of the engine almost complete- just need to fabricate the inlets from the superchargers to the carb inlets. Also preliminary fab of the rear grille.

Decided to dig out a never started project from the stash. Shortly after the reissue of the AMT 1953 Studebaker I picked up this resin casting of the 1962 GT Hawk. Wil need quite a bit of work, including fabricating a rear grille. Using an Avanti engine with the twin Paxton supercharger option. Found some nice whitewall tires at the C.A.R.B.S. meet. Thinking about a dark red, but that may change.

Thanks, all- updated the tires and detailed the engine, added an improved supercharger and some front suspension- otherwise box stock. Paint is more blue-green than the photos show- I call it Caribbean Sea. First outing to be at the C.A.R.B.S. fall fest.

Renwal Revivals Bugatti T101-CX commissioned by Virgil Exner, body built by Ghia, and was the other revival actually built, the other being the Mercer Cobra. The chassis was a T101, using a T57C engine.
